I will provide you with a personalized program to fit you, study material, and online support whenever needed. With my theory course, you are gonna acquire a better understanding of the music language as well as developing your ears. I like to have fun during my lessons and enjoy playing but always challenging and becoming better!

I suggest you improve your saxophone and music practice by focusing on learning melody by ear and developing improvisation. As for instrumental technique, I can teach you how to place your fingers properly to develop your virtuosity, to have a tonic air column and a good embouchure to develop your sound and to work on articulation to improve your phrasing. All this is acquired little by little by playing specific exercises and solos, pieces or saxophone studies. Through learning the instrument I also suggest you develop your musical qualities which are essential to progress and have fun playing. By learning and memorizing melodies or solos by ear, you develop your ear, your sense of rhythm and your memory. Free improvisation allows you to develop your inner singing and your musical personality. Finally, working with a metronome or directly on recordings will help you improve your rhythmic ear. All this is aimed at allowing the greatest possible freedom with one's instrument as well as the development of a personal aesthetic. I started learning the saxophone at the conservatory 7 years ago. I started with jazz then curiosity pushed me to study classical saxophone for 3 years before specializing in tenor and jazz. I had many saxophone teachers (Eric Barret, Pascal Gaubert, Sylvain Rifflet, Sylvain Cathala...) and today I have a bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory with Fabrice Alleman and Manu Hermia. I have played the saxophone in many different contexts, often in jazz in small groups or in a Big Band, in classical solo or in a quartet and also with pop groups on stage or in the studio. I have always loved passing on what I have learned, so I have been teaching beginners/amateurs for 4 years, always with the aim of developing the pleasure of playing and regularity of practice.

I am a professional oboist with over 20 years of specialised music education in England, Germany, and Belgium and performing experience with some of the best orchestras in the world including the London Symphony Orchestra, Gurzenich Orchestra in Koln, and National Orchestra of Belgium. I have experience teaching young children, teenagers, and adults as well as giving group lessons. I offer private one on one lessons either in my home or yours (and at the moment via webcam) with a focus on fun, musical fluency, gaining confidence in technique, and learning repertoire. My course is aimed at young beginners who want to learn the piano, and who are ready to go through the music theory box! For the course of the course it's quite simple: we will choose several pieces together, depending on the level of difficulty and the student's desires. The course will be divided into two: a first part of music theory (which I will make fun with various exercises, don't worry), and a second practical part where the student will play the chosen pieces. Currently I'm studying a Bachelor's degree in cello performance in Brussels and I'm working on a diploma in counterpoint in Greece. I offer lessons to both beginners and those already acquainted with cello. In addition I offer music theory, ear training and harmony lessons. I'm good with children and can get them started in either general music education to prepare them for instrument studies later on or alternatively guide them to their first steps in cello playing.
