About Me

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Hello, I am Lisa! As a professional musician, I like to share the knowledge I have gained over the years with all music lovers. Making music together, learning from it and seeing the student progress is my goal in teaching.
I work on technique, relaxation while making music, freedom and musicality/creativity. Everyone has a unique musicality that I would like to help improve. I do this by giving tools, tips & tricks and exercises in the lessons.
I attach great importance to teaching because I want to help future musicians (and amateur musicians) make their dreams come true.

Experience / Qualifications

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
In the past I have taught violin lessons and music theory lessons to young people and adults. I have been active for 3 years via Apprentus.
I adapt to your level and together we work towards a higher level.
The most used books that I use in my lessons for technique are exercises and studies by Schradieck, Sevcik, Pierre Baillot, Charles Auguste de Bériot, Kreutzer, Dont, Rode, Mazas, Dancla and so on. Scale books that I recommend and use myself are by Carl Flesch, The Dounis Method and Galamian. Other books are certainly welcome.
We can decide together to choose violin repertoire (such as violin sonatas, concertos, partitas, etc.).
During the violin lessons I also teach music theory to the students. This helps with reading and deciphering scores and understanding musical terminology. In the past I have also given music theory tutoring to conservatory students who needed extra help with entrance exams and/or exams + re-exams.

The first lesson was very nice. Warm friendly and professional. Learning to play the violin seems really difficult, so it is important to have someone so cheerful and friendly at your side to teach you.

Self-paced violin lessons (all ages and levels: beginners to advanced)
Have you always wanted to learn to play the violin or start over? Then you've come to the right place! I am a Belgian violinist, 25 years old, who obtained her master's degree in violin and chamber music at the Lemmens Institute last year. As a violin teacher, the fun of the students is central. With a stimulating and motivated approach, we take on new challenges by looking together for a beautiful sound, musicality, relaxation and suitable repertoire. I cater to the interests of each student. I want to make you curious about the instrument and show you all the possibilities of the violin. I have already gained experience in youth music studios, part-time art education and private. Lessons can be given at my home in Leuven or Roeselare.

Johanna
Tailor-made private violin lessons for all ages and levels
Hello! I am a violin student with Elisa Kawaguti at LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens and am currently doing my master's degree. In my lessons, I think it is most important that students have fun and feel good about themselves, which will hopefully motivate them to improve technically and musically at their own pace. If there are students who would like to have lessons during the holidays, I am happy to do so, as I used to think it was a shame that the lessons stopped then. Looking forward to meeting you! If you have any questions, you can always let me know.

Piano and/or music theory lessons for every level and age! (NL/EN/FR)
Hey! Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you just want to take your piano playing to the next level? In either case, you can come to me for piano and theory lessons tailored to your needs! Are you a fan of pop/jazz music rather than classical? We can easily take care of this too! As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

Emanuela
Classical violin lessons in French, English or Italian
I propose violin lessons for all the ages and levels. I love music and violin in particular and what I hope is to transmit my passion to other people. What I would like is to make people learn through enthusiasm and positivity, with the belief that it is always the right time to learn something new. I have many years of experience as a teacher, thanks to the schools where I have been teaching during the last years and the teachers that I met as a student, who made me learn how to play and how to teach too. I like to teach by adapting to people and their wishes, looking for the right approach for each one

Zita
Music theory and/or music history lessons for all ages!
Do you want to understand music better? Or would you like a basic music theory to be able to play an instrument in a more informed way? Then I would be happy to help you! As a musicologist, I attach great importance to understanding the context in which music originated and evolved. My knowledge of music history can give you insight into the development of different music styles and how they have been influenced by cultural and social factors. Music theory/music theory lessons can help you understand the building blocks of music. Whether you are a young beginner taking first steps with music lessons or an adult who wants to continue his or her love for music; the lessons will be tailor-made to achieve your goals! For me, learning is a source of joy and inspiration. As a result, I would like to create a positive and supportive learning environment, in which you feel free to ask questions and experiment with music. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Catarina
Piano and Music Theory lessons for students of all levels and ages
Graduated in Music - Having studied piano (classical) at the University of Évora (Portugal), Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the Aquiles Delle Vigne International Music Academy. She is currently studying a Masters in Performance at LUCA School of Arts, Leuven, Belgium. I have a lot of experience in teaching piano and music theory in different musical styles and theoretical/musical training from children to adults, in official conservatories, music schools and private lessons, In my classes I try to share my musical knowledge, both practically and theoretically. The courses are aimed at those who want to have more direct contact with music, whether for the first time or not. I take great pleasure in teaching and I give great importance to each student. I like to choose repertoire that matches both student's musical tastes and technical work in need. I always try to encourage students and provide quality teaching. In musical training courses, I help students at conservatories/academies and teach classes to students without any theoretical basis. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch!

Custom piano lessons: face-to-face or online. [teens and adults]
Piano lessons adapted to your taste and level. You tell us what you expect from the lessons so that I can give you optimal piano lessons. For example: you want to learn to read and play piano pieces. I must also give you the relevant theory. It is your choice to study additional theory, but it is not necessary. My lessons are therefore efficiently oriented. As a student, you can ultimately choose which piano pieces we work on (it must first be approved by me), so that playing the piano remains fun and educational. I cover classical music, pop music, video games, movies, anime music, etc... so many genres! Another example: you want to make a piano cover of an existing piece (e.g. pop music or movie music). I will give you the theory of chords and reading staves. This way you can get started quickly. Together we will practice enough so that you understand everything well! We can also improvise together on your piano. Feel free to message us if you have any questions :) I have already given private lessons to adults, teenagers and children both online and in person. Both options work great! We do this online via Skype or another app if desired. Physically we do it in Leuven city centre, where there is a handy large indoor bicycle shed. Ideally I teach once a week, you then continue practicing on your piano at home towards the next lesson the following week. If you would like lessons every other week or lessons twice a week, that is also possible for me. Why choose to learn to play the piano? It has been scientifically proven that playing an instrument makes someone smarter (good brain training). You can show your piano skills to others, but you can also make yourself happy and reward through your piano. I've heard from my friends that they regret not learning to play an instrument, hopefully you won't be like them... You only Live one time! What are you waiting for? I hope to see you then! ^_^

Flute technique, breathing system, repertoire and theory
The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). It’ my job to guide the student in order to let him/her find that stability in order to get best results possible.

Dorelle
Cello and/or music theory lessons in Brussels and Mechelen
My name is Dorelle and I have been playing the cello and piano since I was little. For me, art in general has a particularly important role in life :-) Currently, after a year of Erasmus in Germany I will finish my studies in Leuven at Lemmensistituut. The important thing for me in learning the cello is to have fun while making sure to find a good position that will not generate tension later. I generally give an hour of lessons, but can adapt to the student's wishes without worry, whether in terms of lesson length or to find cool pieces that change from the "classical" repertoire! I can also provide help to more advanced students who need support to pass an exam or progress more quickly.
