Abella's singing lessons are exceptional, she helps me exploit the capabilities of my voice. Always attentive, Abella offers real follow-up, she gives me good advice to improve my vocal technique, (in particular helping me to articulate correctly, concentrate on my breathing) as well as advice to bring out all the necessary emotion to the chosen song. Working with Abella is a real joy!

Charlotte
Private singing lessons - all styles and levels
Hello and welcome ! My name is Charlotte, I am a singing teacher and professional opera singer. I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris at the highest level with honours and I have a Masters in Opera Singing from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where I have won several prizes. I am the recipient of a prestigious scholarship from the Malvina and Denise Menda Foundation of the Fondation de France. I also have a BA in Art History from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute. I teach the principles of vocal technique that form the basis of all singing styles: finding an ideal posture and alignment of the body and the air column and eliminating unnecessary tension; optimizing breathing and support (singing with the whole body); beauty and homogeneity of the voice in all registers (homogeneity especially in lyrical singing); clear and precise articulation in all languages. Of course, these bases adapt differently depending on the styles and offer keys to freeing the voice, and not to restricting the singer! My teaching is holistic and I take into account the whole person with great sensitivity. The voice is at the center of the body and mind, and singing unifies the two. I deeply believe in the well-being that singing brings and its power to release. My life as an artist began as a classical dancer (I was a dancer in the young dancers program at the Royal Opera House, London) and this taught me a good awareness of my body and how to transmit it to others. Singing is mastered by listening to one's body. I also practice meditation and yoga at a high level and I transmit these techniques of connection to the body and breath, and the state of relaxation that they bring. In my teaching, accuracy, solfege and precision are very important. I was first a violinist and I was a member of one of the prestigious choirs of the University of Cambridge during my degree. So I have a good ear that developed further during these trainings. Singing is above all communication and my mission is to allow everyone to express their authentic and unique voice. I am passionate about theater and the art of communicating our sincere emotions and those of the characters we play. Vocal technique gives us the means, but it is the connection to oneself and to the meaning of the music and the text that allows us to express ourselves fully and sincerely. It is a work that fascinates me as much as that of vocal technique. All the more so, the connection to emotion broadens the palette of colors of the voice, without which we can only produce beautiful sound. My classes usually last an hour. Typically, I start my classes with breathing exercises and body observation. We continue with warm-ups and vocalizations to work on technique. Then we work on the repertoire of your choice. I can also advise you on the repertoire of all styles. Looking forward to reading from you and working together!

Emmanuelle
Professional lyric singer offers lyric singing lessons
I am a professional lyric soprano graduated from the CNSM of Lyon. I participate in productions with the Concert d'Astrée, the Choir of Namur, Accentus, the Opéra National de Lorraine, Choir de la Chapelle Harmonique. I am also on the lists of the Montpellier Opera, Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Correspondances and Radio France choir. I have just finished a production of Haydn's Die Schöpfung at the Opéra National de Lorraine last January-February, conducted by Marta Gardolinska (Guillaume Fauchère choir director), directed by Kevin Barz. I sang solo and in chorus the role of the Trojan woman in Campra's Idomenée in 2021 at the Lille Opera and the Berlin Staatsoper, staging of the fura dels baus, I also sang the solo of Campra's Requiem at the philharmonies of Luxembourg, Lille, Essen Cologne and Berlin with the Concert d'Astrée in 2019 directed by Emmanuelle Haïm. In 2019, I participated in the production of Les Indes Galantes by Rameau with the Namur Choir at the Opera Bastille, directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon and directed by Clement Cogitore. In 2022, I participated in numerous productions, notably with the Accentus choir in Beethoven's 9th symphony, the missa solemnis or even a polyphonic baroque project. In 2022 I participated in the production of Hulda by Cesar Franck with the Namur Choir at the Grand Manège de Namur, the Liège Philharmonic and the Théatre des Champs Elysées. My background as well as my skills in lyrical singing allow me to master my instrument well. I am a very curious and very patient person, and I like to find solutions to problems. Transmitting my passion to students wishing to discover or develop their voices, discover their artistic personality would be a great pleasure for me. If I can transmit this joy that I have from singing as well as my acquired knowledge, it would be a great exploration for them as for me.

Mia
Lyrical singing lessons for all levels in Paris
As a lyrical singer I had the opportunity to perform at an international level but also to continue to teach my profession. My "teacher creed" In vocal pedagogy, I would say that I always find myself "face to face" with a new and unique instrument - the voice: each student is unique and that is why we must look for individual didactic and methodological tools. This means that I am able to lead a singing lesson in different ways so that I can find the vocal exercises or personalized and appropriate pieces of music to get the most out of each student. My vocal technique is based on breathing exercises, awareness of the whole body as an instrument, knowledge of the biological principles of breathing as well as the artistic meaning of breathing. My basic goals are: to maintain a feeling of high position while singing (singing with resonance), binding purely distinctive vowels (legato singing), developing the range of a voice step by step and balancing the vocal registers. While "building" the voice, I take the assessment and development of a student's personality seriously, which I think is undeniable in arts education. It also consists in knowing the appropriate repertoire according to the vocal development of each student.

Lessons in Songwriting and strengthening the Ear. Guitar, Vocals, Piano, Midi Instruments, General Music Theory, etc.
I am excited to offer my new classes I recently developed while teaching in NYC at a children's music school. My initial approach will first be to understand the desires within my student (aka the artist) While I can teach beginner music theory, I do not believe this is necessary for one to write music. However, if the student would like to understand this, I can provide lessons on general theory. My primary intention is to identify the student's core strengths and use them to help them create the music that they wish to create. I have collaborated with artists like Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon's bass player) Itaal Shur (Multi-Grammy award winner and Composer of "Smooth" by Santana) and Haydn Bendall (Kate Bush's chief engineer)

Singing lessons, vocal technique and music theory
The watchword is pleasure! We will take the time to find our way/voice. From body preparation to singing, vocalizations and breathing exercises, you will progress quickly. We can also see points of music theory and harmony in a little more depth if desired. The course of an hour of lessons: - 15 mins of body and vocal warm-up - 15 mins of rhythmic music theory/melodic music theory/harmony (if desired) - 30 mins of singing on backing track or I can accompany you on piano or guitar. Of course this is only a typical example. Above all, I will listen to you and we will work according to your desires and needs. My area of expertise is more current music (Pop/rock/Soul/French variety) but all styles are welcome! I hope to see you soon ! :)

The art of singing: breathing techniques, ancient music, lyrical, interpretation, theory
Lyric, Baroque and traditional singer gives singing lessons, vocal technique, interpretation, musical culture at home (Paris 8) After studying in Poland (Master of performing arts - opera singing) I came to France to deepen my knowledge of Baroque repertoire, style and period ornamentation. Early music becomes my specialization, however my second passion is contemporary music, however I master the classical and romantic repertoire. My mind is open to all musical styles: I practiced realistic song, singing variety and - with great success - the traditional Slavic song. Since my musical education is established by the theoretical foundations (Bachelor in musicology at the Sorbonne), I would be delighted to share my experiences in this discipline during singing lessons, or to teach them separately. I also teach small piano lessons and music theory lessons for beginners. Classes are conducted in French, but when I am Polish, I could give in Polish or English too. A course can last from 1h up to 1,5h. It's up to you. In exceptional cases I can come to your home, but mainly I give lessons at home (Paris Rome-Batignolles). It's a joy for me to be able to introduce myself as a teacher. I think it's a very responsible and fascinating job that can lead to very nice encounters and exchanges between priceless people!

Music theory, music, piano and / or singing lessons
Passionate about music offers an initiation or a deepening in music (music theory, piano or singing). My goal is to be as attentive as possible to your expectations and I will be quite capable of adapting. Practicing the piano since the age of 6, I acquired a very good level of music theory and subsequently found fun methods for this learning which may seem boring but which remains necessary. The goal is to help with motivation and confidence! . Learning music theory can be for all instruments. Indeed, I know the three types of keys (G, F, and C) depending on the instrument. I am also a member of a musical comedy troupe with which we put on 8 shows with live music. So I also have a great experience in singing and piano in front of an audience. I also passed the Music option of the baccalaureate and could therefore also teach you the techniques of comparative listening or instruct you on a work or a genre of music that interests you. Feel free to contact me for more information !

Zen teaching of lyric or pop singing (vocal technique and interpretation)
For me, each student is different and deserves a personalized approach. I try above all to put him in confidence so that he progresses serenely and in the pleasure of learning and seeks a language and a mode of operation which corresponds to him. I always start my lessons with a little warm-up before doing technical and musical work on the songs. After a few sessions we establish with the student a "plan of attack" defining the short, medium and long term objectives. More interested in pop than lyric? Not a problem ! I put my knowledge of vocal technique at the service of all styles to help you progress while keeping your voice safe.
