Clarinet & Sax Lessons in South Kensington or Online ♫ Master’s Scholar at Royal College of Music, London
Hi! I'm an experienced clarinettist and teacher with a first-class honours degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where I won the college's concerto and chamber music competitions. I also achieved A* and A grades in GCSE and A-Level Music respectively. - I have recently started my master's degree as a dual scholar at the Royal College of Music in London. - I have a full enhanced DBS certificate which can be supplied upon request. - I teach Mon-Wed, often afternoons/evenings but am fairly flexible (and ask the same of my students due to my hectic schedule!) - I am a relaxed, experienced, enthusiastic and patient teacher and try to make each lesson different, fun and enjoyable! -I would be happy to help you to learn music as a complete beginner or strengthen your abilities as an advanced player as a practice partner or a primary tutor. - I like to focus on building a solid foundation of playing with my students, which will help them excel in their musical lives. - I am a heavy believer that constant reassurance and appraisal is crucial in the early stages of learning any instrument, alongside fun and memorable exercises and games. - I have experience teaching to school-age children through outreach visits in Cardiff and London, alongside volunteering at RWCMD juniors department and working with RCM Sparks. - I love teaching and sharing my passion for music. I believe if you have the right motivation, age does not matter at all - it's never too late to learn! - I am able to teach through ABRSM grades and other kinds of qualifications or if you're just wanting to do it for fun! I am also able to teach music theory in tandem or as a primary tutor. - I teach in RCM in South Kensington or at my flat in Shepherds Bush if necessary. I also offer online lessons at a reduced rate. - Lessons can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Don’t hesitate to message me about any queries, look forward to meeting you! Isaac :) About Isaac: Originally from a small village in Northamptonshire, Isaac is a Clarinettist currently based in London. He made his solo debut in St. David’s Hall, Cardiff performing Mozart’s Concerto For Basset Clarinet, after winning the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Concerto Competition 2021. In the past year, Isaac has received Masterclasses from world-leading musicians such as Yehuda Gilad, Laura Ruiz Ferreres, Matthew Hunt, Carlos Ferriera and Harri Mäki. His recent festival highlights include performances with Maya Iwabuchi and Robin Green at the Hellensmusic Festival, taking part in Amsterdam and Främnas Masterclasses with Arno Piters and Herman Stefansson respectively, and the Voksenåsen Sommerakademi with Bjorn Nyman and Andreas Sundén. In 2020, Isaac was invited to take part in the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Lübeck, which was unfortunately postponed due to the pandemic. Isaac has performed recently as guest principal, sub-principal and bass clarinet with London Mozart Players, Neville Holt Opera, English Symphony Orchestra, London Firebird Orchestra and UK Tours with The Music Agency. He has performed in concerts and masterclasses under the conductors such as Sir Andrew Davis, Maxim Vengerov, Hannu Lintu, Jac van Steen, George Jackson and Leif Segerstam. Isaac graduated first-class honours from RWCMD in 2021 under the tutelage of the previous and current heads of woodwind Nick Carpenter and Rob Plane, respectively. Alongside winning the college Concerto Competition, Isaac also won the RWCMD Woodwind + Chamber Music Prize and auditions for side-by-side schemes with BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Welsh National Opera. Also a passionate arranger, Isaac has recently had his work performed at Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) Young Creatives Projects, Durham University Big Band Charity Events, Dynamica Brass Academy, RWCMD Repertory by Entrepreneurial Performers Company (REPCo) and the Ormonde Ensemble, a wind quintet of which Isaac is a member. Isaac is currently furthering his studies with a Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music, London, studying with Barnaby Robson, Richard Hosford and Tim Lines. He is the gracious recipient of scholarships from the HR Taylor Charitable Trust and Charlotte Fraser Foundation. He is also the 2022/23 holder of the Countess of Munster Trust Neil Black Award. Piano for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Striking a Balance between Technical and Fun.
Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Having taught students of all ages and different levels of musicianship, I am pleased to say that I have built long-lasting relationships with many of my students. With an emphasis on creativity and student input; my lessons allow students to discover their own playing style and musical direction. I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy what they’re doing, and I incorporate this into my teaching style. I strongly encourage my students to bring their own ideas and suggestions to the lessons; that way they can learn a piece of music that they really like. With a background in classical music, I underpin my lessons with useful technical exercises that encourage dexterity, time-keeping and fluency. Finally, I encourage all my students to learn at least the fundamentals of music theory and sight reading. Striking a healthy balance between diligent exercises, music theory and fun musical expression, my lessons allow students to explore their musicality on all fronts. Whether you’re a complete beginner, or you’re building upon your existing skills, I am here to help you reach your musical goals. Lessons are available immediately, looking forward to hearing from you! Qualifications: - Grade 8 Classical Piano - Royal Irish Academy of Music - Piano, Vocal, and Guitar Training - MA in Music Production, LCCM - Decade of Songwriting Experience - Frontman for Seán and the Late Bloomers

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Violin Lessons - Private lessons for all ages. Individual lessons geared towards each individual student.
After studying violin and piano in Boston, at New England Conservatory with Eric Rosenblith, Master Classes with Dorothy DeLay, chamber music with Leslie Parnas and Burton Fine, as well as other Juilliard teachers and studies with Robert Soetens in France, I have been fortunate to enjoy over twenty years of teaching violin, viola and piano students. I am currently teaching in Central Florida as well as online through my Unique Musicality curriculum business. My initial studio experience began during my education at New England Conservatory, where I began teaching young students in the Boston area. Later, I was able to give master classes, private and group lessons in France and Asia as a member of touring orchestras. I currently teach lessons as well as providing master classes for select students and organizations. For the past two summers, I was a coach and performer at the Assisi Performing Arts Chamber Music Festival in Assisi, Italy. I have also been a judge in various Youth Symphony competitions as well as civic organizations that hold music competitions, such as the Kiwanis Club Arts and Music competition. My students have achieved entrance into summer conservatory programs including Peabody’s Music Summer Camp, Emory University’s Atlanta Chamber Music Festival, Franklin Pond Summer Intensive Chamber music program, Assisi Italy Performing Arts Chamber Music Festival, as well as continuing their college studies at Music Schools and Conservatories.
