Professional drawing and painting course in different techniques and styles

Learn to make drawings/sketches with pencil and graphite (9H to 12B). Each session will allow you to discover and practice a specific technique. Between two sessions, targeted exercises will allow you to progress in a measurable way, in small steps. In drawing, there are no miracles: it is practice, training, perseverance, which are the sources of progress. All materials will be provided to you (pencils, papers). During the first session, a series of examples of my creations will offer you a concrete overview of the techniques and styles that I can help you master.

Former student at ECAL and former student of Atelier de Sèvres in Paris, I offer drawing and illustrator courses. Drawing is a passion that I like to share with others. This course is for everyone; whether you are an enthusiast or a professional who wishes to acquire a better technique. You will learn there the basic techniques to succeed precisely the proportions, to better control the color, to balance your compositions. Bring the material you like!

If you want to learn the basics of drawing, I can help you learn the techniques necessary for good practice. I will teach you how to draw volumes realistically in relation to perspective. Then we will see how to subdivide ordinary objects and subjects into volumes in order to make sketches that respect proportions. We will also see shading techniques. Everything will be done in the form of small, practical and fun exercises.

The objective of the course is to allow the participant to realize their artistic desires. To do this, it is difficult to define a precise path: everyone has their own abilities and shortcomings, the organization of the course will be around the student. Among the different tools that we work with, we can find, among other things, anatomy, composition, perspective, color theory, the study of movement, the principles of animation... On a more technical level, I am capable and have the necessary equipment to teach both traditional and digital drawing (the same for animation). The courses will mainly be composed of two parts, the first of theoretical explanations, analysis of artists' works and implementation of creative processes... the second of evaluation of the student's work, with in-depth feedback and concrete processes to put in place to improve.

Graduate of ECAL in ArtsVisuels, as well as the preparatory school of fine art in the city of Paris, I offer my services to learn how to do drawing observation, cultivate creativity, learn the practice of watercolor, of Indian ink. I also give volunteer drawing lessons every Wednesday afternoon for children and adults, and am therefore able to work with young and old, all levels combined. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

My name is Virág, and I am a Visual Development Artist and Character Designer. I have honed my skills as a 2D illustrator and visual developer, working as both a character and background designer in the Netherlands. There, I contributed to a variety of projects, including music videos, informative animations, promotional videos, and posters. Notably, I worked on animated music videos for Spinning Records and Steve Aoki's '6OKI' animated music video series. While my primary focus is on the cartoon style, I have experience in a diverse range of styles, including corporate, whiteboard animation, realistic, and children's illustration. My journey in drawing began in my childhood, with experiences at places like 'Corvin Drawing & Design School' and 'Secondary School of Visual Arts, Budapest'. In 2019, I completed the Concept Art course at 'Mesharray, Budapest', which set me on the path to my current career. I’m excited to share my expertise on character design for animated clips, highlighting key aspects to consider during the design process, the various styles available, and how it all comes together on screen.
