Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching. I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully. I am Julia, a professional saxophonist originally from Montreal, Canada. I live in the Netherlands for 4 years and have a Master's degree in Music. I compose, engineer and perform music. I also love to teach, I have experiences with ages 9 to 90. The main idea of my teaching philosophy is to get the sound in your head out into the air. "Guided Fearless Music-Making" is my motto!

Hi, my name is Francisco. I am an argentinian guitar player currently located in Maastricht, Netherlands. I have been playing and studying music for many years and Im also actively performing and recording for my own or other people's projects. I have been teaching for more than 8 years now and I have experience working together with begginer, intermediate and more advanced students. At the moment, I am narrowing my lessons for people who already know the basics and want to expand on their knowledge. I am a jazz guitar player and my main interest is improvisation but the lessons are not limited to people looking to learn jazz, but also to those with interest in blues, rock, pop, etc. Some of the things we will be working on are: Triads, Scales, Voicings, Time Feel, Rhythm, Repertoire, Tools for playing in a band, Comping, and more. The lessons can either be online via Zoom or Google Meet, or at my place in Maastricht. (Of course, I am open to teach beginner students as well in some cases, upon discussion.)

I am a piano teacher for all ages. The lessons are based on what the student wants; it can be simply for enjoyment or to prepare for the conservatory exam. Basic music theory is included in the lessons and anything else that the student wants to learn about music.

Hey! I give private piano lessons for kids and adults in Maastricht. I offer piano lessons based on the individual program from the level, personal interests, and aspirations. Therefore teaching methods and materials will always be chosen in consultation with the student. I have worked in music schools with children and I have taught private lessons for 5 years dealing with people of all ages. Lessons can be given in Spanish or English and it is also possible to give in my location, in yours, or by online too. It is never too late to do something you really want to do!

In a lesson of one hour we can cover theoretical music skills, breath work, reed exercises, etudes and technical exercises and pieces. We can also play duos together! Because I have a lot of experience making reeds, I can make and adjust your reeds to your maximal comfort. Life can get hectic, so I'm all about flexibility. I am a professional opera singer with 10 years of performance experience as a freelancer in the UK, now working and living in the Netherlands. I have a Bachelor of Music (honours) in singing from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. I also have 12 years of teaching experience, working both privately and in schools. I have taught the ages 10-70 and have an encouraging and dynamic style of teaching. I like people to enjoy their music lessons but believe that breathing and support technique is essential in singing all genres of music. I am very confident and have a lot of experience in preparing students for both classical and music theatre singing exams. I have a 100% pass rate with many entrants gaining merit or distinction marks.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
