About Me

Hi, I am Robert; a passionate, versatile, audio professional that cannot wait to share the secrets, marvels, and wonders of music making with you! I have been a lifelong musician, vocalist, and audiophile. As far back as my youth, I relished the communal spirit of music; sure, making music alone is wonderful and good, but making music with others, now that is transcendent! That passion has blossomed into what some might call an obsession. I studied music education, instrument methods, classical voice, music performance, and vocal pedagogy at Illinois State University, whence I received a BA in vocal music performance. Since then, I focused my efforts on expanding the scope of my appreciation of music and pushing the boundaries of my musical practice. Through my travels, I have collected a miasma of bizarre and exotic musical instruments (a Japanese koto, a Chinese dizi, a West African gankogui, an Australian didgeridoo, and a Polynesian nose flute to name but a few) in an effort to learn, appreciate, and incorporate global musical culture into my personal practice, composition, performance, and life. When I am not writing, playing, or performing music, I teach. I love nothing more than connecting with fellow musicians and helping them along their musical journey. My lessons are individually tailored to the goals and skill level of my students, with the intention of not only improving their musical proficiency, but increasing their performance confidence, and augmenting their practice. Armed with a degree in music performance, a low latency audio interface, a digital audio workstation, and an array of instruments and mics, I charge into the sonic fray of the audio arts; will you join me?

CINEMA, ACTING, IMPROVISATION WORKSHOPS - - -
These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting. Your inventiveness and your uniqueness being at the center of your training, it is a question of dwelling on the objective criteria, such as the voice, the use of the body, the relationship with the partner, the capacity to occupy the space. But it is also the singularity and the commitment that are decisive. The objective of this training is to be able to: - Analyze and dissect a text - Create, develop and embody a character - Understand the artistic and technical writings of a film or a play - Create, cultivate and develop one's artistic identity and singularity (...) Through simulations and role-playing, the association between theory and practice makes it possible to achieve its objectives. PLACES : - Locations: Geneva - Lausanne - Friborg - Neuchâtel - Montreux - Basel - Sion - Sierre - Morges - Bienne. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions, for which you have asked me, also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). Indeed, they have the advantage of face-to-face sessions (ex: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (ex: the entire session transcribed in writing on the chat). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option. - As other people do regularly, you can also please your loved ones by offering gift vouchers available all year round. THE TRAINER From a Grande Ecole post-preparatory class in France & Ivy League University in the United States, our teacher has specialized and has worked for more than 14 years in the field, in international establishments, intervening in forums and conferences. Piano Lessons - all ages and levels - Classical music, pop/rock, etc. - with Piano Master's graduated teacher
Hello! I am a 29 years old classical pianist with a Master's degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. I have taught Piano (and also Music Education) since 2016, to both children and adults. Teaching allows me to bring my passion and enthusiasm for music to the students, and I also find it incredibly rewarding to guide and follow their musical and technical development! I am easily adaptable to the student's musical tastes and expectations/goals in music learning, and I am also very mindful of how I communicate, according to the students' ages and personalities. I can teach classical music, pop, rock, or any other style. My approach consists of giving you the necessary theoretical knowledge for what you wish to play; involving you actively in the choice of the pieces/songs you will play; setting up a long-term plan for your repertoire, so that your development is made step by step in a challenging - but achievable - way (and this way, you will feel more motivated!); giving you enjoyable and creative practicing strategies; creating rich imagery revolving around the piece - by making up a story, relating the music to emotions, etc.; and also positive feedback! Thus, my lessons will allow you to: - Learn how to read scores. -Develop your musical understanding (from notes, rhythm, and harmony, to musical taste, and emotional comprehension of the music, or dive into aesthetic principles concerning the period and style of the piece,...). -Improve, step by step, until you are able to play that piece/song that you love. -Prepare yourself for exams. -Etc. Furthermore, I organize Students' Concerts, giving you the chance to play in a fantastic grand piano, and sharing with others all the work you've done! The best thing is that it's possible for you to learn all this and have fun at the same time! Any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Violin lessons: Fun-Filled journey! Lessons for children and adults!
Hello everyone! My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

Regular piano lessons too difficult? Then try piano lessons with me!
In piano lessons, we use the book method of Notus or Hal Leonard. Everything is explained step by step and you gradually learn to read music and know the piano. At the start of our lessons we'll take a look at what is important to you. What goals do you want to set, and what feels achievable and comfortable? We set long-term goals of, for example, a year. Completely tailored to where you are at, right now. During the lessons I am patient, motivating, encouraging, and complimenting. I'll point out what could be better, and also pay attention to how you can play more easily. And much more. Tailored to your needs and wishes.
