Hello All ! My name is Mario. I am a pianist, composer, producer based in Bruxelles . I have a long experience as a Jazz pianist, keyboardist and arranger and I played in a lot of different bands . In the last ten years I spent a lot of time producing electronic music and I developed my solo and other projects as a mix of jazz, electronic and neoclassical music. I have a master degree in Live Electronics took a the Antwerp Conservatory. I decided to create this course where we can explore together the basics of music production using Ableton Live suite as a reference software. Music Production is a vast subject, it’s okay to be overwhelmed. My aim will be to help you figure out your path within it, and how you can become confident in what you do. With me, you’ll learn everything from getting great sounding audio, synthesis and mix techniques. If there is a subject you want to explore in depth, then we can do that too! The ball is always in your court. Okay my class title may be a little misleading, however, lots can be covered in these sessions. Music is the basic essence of all emotions and expressions. By learning it, we can admire and understand its beauty and enormity. My objective is to share the knowledge in Carnatic music that I have gained over all these years with the same passion that I learned it with. My teaching techniques involve discussing theories, understanding ragam, talam, and its built, and appreciation of Carnatic, light and film music creations. I would teach and encourage my students to listen to the previously created music and discuss its intricacies. You can learn from the basics to the advanced level along with vocal exercises and breathing exercises required for the music practice. You can get trained to perform in open-stage concerts and competitions as well.

The Tecla y Música Workshop is a space designed to learn and develop your musical and expressive sense through the piano and / or keyboards. The main objective is to learn to make music and enjoy the learning process and its results. The material with which we work (songs, instrumental pieces and exercises) is mainly oriented to your musical taste, and the choice is based on gradually expanding your technical and expressive possibilities, while exploring different musical styles. In this way, different tools are being incorporated to achieve, in a short term, mastery and fluency over the musical language and the instrument. Given that each student has different interests and concerns, whether playing as a hobby or developing a professional career, composing, improvising, etc., the orientation of the classes is built according to the possibilities and particular needs of each case. The work proposal implies a weekly class frequency to achieve optimal work dynamics and that the results are visible in a short term. There is also the possibility of taking isolated classes in order to solve a specific objective such as developing and perfecting some particular aspect of music practice and / or theory as well as preparing instrument exams or theoretical subjects for institutions of musical studies.

I have taught classes at all levels and I am always excited by the progress of my students. I am currently a teacher at the Institute of Performing Arts in Madrid. I have experience with students at both beginner, basic and advanced levels. I also teach formal and non-regulated classes. I prepare entrance exams at both professional and advanced levels, with success so far with all the students I have had and who have taken them, and I always adapt to the needs of each person or profile. I also have experience teaching music theory and music theory at all four levels of musical language.

A music class aims to master the musical language without leaving fun aside. Musical education arouses enthusiasm and curiosity by tuning from the student's particular objectives to the singularities of repertoires that dialogue beyond the barriers of already conditional aesthetic currents. Teaching music is continuous learning, but instruction can become disadvantageous when there is no stimulus to encourage good habits. For these habits to be established, skills and techniques are explored during classes that aim to awaken listening, in this context, practice is an ally of imagination, learning an instrument is not treated as a monotonous activity, as a curated musical practice invoked by improvisation and creativity, essential tools in the construction of the different scenarios of music making.
