I offer you music lessons where you will get to know percussion instruments, but also the traditional music, the historical background and much more! Always with passion and dedication because of the love I have for teaching and music! I'm specializing in latin, brazilian and flamenco. So, I can teach you a wide variety of instruments and tradition. In the latin/cuban music you can learn congas, timbales and bongó, but also: güiro and shekeré. With brazilian music I can teach you pandeiro, rebolo/tan tan, surdo, cuica, reco reco, tamborim, zabumba and batucada instruments like timbao or dobra. And for flamenco tradition you can learn cajón, but also if you are interested the different partterns of the palmas. All my lessons are prepared for the student, so depending on you, we'll set up the lessons. But here you have the specific points I find more important: - Technical basis: the technique is essencial to be a good percussionist. - Music theory: it can help you to read the scores or to understand the music. - Different rhythms, patterns and styles: latin, brazilian and flamenco are a huge diverse world of music that we will discover in our lessons. - Music accompaniment: we'll learn the role of percussion as the base of a band. - Improvisation: a percussion player can also shine, so I'll teach you the language to talk with the drums. We can listening to recordings and to check how the drummer accompanies his band mates, how he expresses his solo ideas. I will focus on what you wish to learn with high standards covering everything you need to improve on drums. Lessons are remote online video lessons and I can also provide materials online such as videos and sheet music.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice. ***THE TEXTBOOK IS NOT NECESSARY FOR THE CLASS*** Learning Latin is the gateway to an entire civilisation - the Romans. In this class, we will cover the contents of the textbook called Wheelock's Latin, starting with the basics of noun and verb formations and ending with various kinds of subjunctive clauses, and how to interpret them.

I have several years of experience tutoring students of different age groups in Latin and Ancient Greek. I am deeply passionate about these languages and I enjoy helping students improving at them. I believe that understanding the structure of a sentence is fundamental when approaching these languages, therefore this is an important focus for me. During the class I always dedicate some time to reasoning and translating sentences together with the student. I have a BS in pharmaceutical biotechnology and I am currently a master student in Medicine. I find biology very fascinating and I have been tutoring it for years now. Depending on the topic and the student's needs, I structure the lessons differently. I usually explain the topic and use tools such as spaced repetition, notes, conceptual maps to make sure that the student has understood.

Trained at the conservatory, then at the Progressive Drum School, I then sought to improve myself by taking private lessons from references such as Loïc Pontieux, Franky Costanza, Kevin Reveyrend or Franck Aghulon. I have taught drums and music theory to students of all ages, all levels and in different contexts: recreational practice, exam preparation, putting on shows. I have also conducted musical workshops for organizations such as youth centers, elementary or nursery schools, and social centers, for projects ranging from musical awareness to the production of shows or music videos. I therefore have very comprehensive teaching experience and know how to adapt to different audiences. Now being a full-time professional musician, I also want to share my professional experience with students. During my teaching career I have questioned myself a lot about the problem of the teaching method because there is no single model of student and giving a course is not just giving a list of exercises. So I try to understand the student and advise him on the best method and the best pace of practice.

Our series of courses is aimed at those who would like to improve their knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek and share our passion for ancient cultures but also the languages of the world which, thanks to comparative linguistics, are magnificent tools for exchange and dialogue. We offer both our knowledge of philology and targeted exercises on Greek and Latin grammar and an introduction to Anatolian, Portuguese and Old Norse languages.
