I offer piano lessons for all levels. 7 years of teaching experience in conservatories, music schools and in business. I have a very good contact with children. I am demanding but gentle and very patient. I believe that one learns by listening, I am present to allow this listening to be at the center of the course and thus accompany the student on the path of music. I adapt to the need, the desire and the receptivity of each one. The well-being of the student is essential for progress in confidence and joy. The development of listening to the inner song is at the heart of my teaching. For beginners: songs, games, improvisation, creation. The links with song and rhythm are very important to have a healthy foundation. The musical notions are approached gradually by experience then by recognition. Reading and writing are brought about by creation and musical composition. For the more experienced, polyphony and difficult passages can be approached with different tools, by awareness of harmony and melodic modes and polyrhythm. Sometimes it is enough to be aware of simplicity to overcome difficult passages. I push to go further in the quality of the interpretation with simple means to better understand the music and thus allow more expressiveness and freedom. I also offer improvisation, harmony, lessons in musical ensembles, especially vocal polyphony for children, and lessons for specific needs, for example just intonation for singers or other instruments.

Hello! I’m Miguel, a 22 year-old musician/singer/songwriter, based in London. I’ve been studying music theory and professional violin since I was 4 years old. I started as an orchestra player and went to music school till I was 18, when I started writing and composing my own material. Using jazz music as my specialism, I am able to teach even the most technically challenging concepts in their most basic forms and transfer them to the guitar in their most simple terms. I have taught the guitar, music theory and GCSE and A-Level Music syllabuses for six years to students of all ages and abilities and across every imaginable genre.

Music is a valuable skill that aids learning in other fields too. I would teach basic music theory, and children's music, introducing basic music concepts. I have also attended a music conservatoire from Sept 2016- Aug 2021, playing the cello, and so can teach this for grades 1-3.

I am a professional pianist who has studied in St Petersburg Conservatory (in Russia) and at the moment work as a pianist, organist and concertmaster in different locations and I am willing to share my knowledge with people who have a passion for music. I am a composer/pianist currently studying at Royal College of Music. I started studying music at quite young, but never found my passion in it until my late teenage years. Now music is such an integral part of my life and well being, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences to support others on their musical journeys. As a teacher I am very flexible and can adapt to how you want to learn, I also take a creative approach to teaching piano so that my students develop their musicianship and composition skills while learning the piano. As a composer, I always bring elements of music theory and composition into my piano teaching, so that my students can develop their musicianship and creativity while improving their piano playing skills. My teaching philosophy is that the most important aspect of learning music is to find one’s interest and passion in it, and my goal as a teacher is to support my students and help them find their passion in music; However, I am familiar with the ABRSM examinations and have a Grade 8 certificate myself, and I always tailor my lessons to different students based on what they are looking for.

I have just completed my music degree where I specialised in contemporary classical singing and opera. I have experience singing jazz, pop and musical theatre and have completed one year on a Vocal Studies course at a Music Conservatoire. I have Grade VIII in Violin and Classical Voice, Grade VI in piano and Pop and Jazz Vocals and recently achieved a 1st for my final degree recital and composition. The techniques that you gain from classical training can be applied to all genres and give a strong foundation to be able to perform any music you may be interested in. I can also offer help with music theory and shape what I teach to meet your interests and goals. I aim to help you truly love music and gain confidence in your performance and musicianship skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
