I have a bachelor's degree in Physics from EPFL and am currently finishing my master's degree in Applied Physics. I have been a student assistant at EPFL in linear algebra, mechanical physics, and analysis for the last 4 years. I have been working 10 hours per week in a tutoring school for students from 6P to high school since September 2024. I also give private lessons to several high school students through the CVAJ (Centre Vaudois d'Aide à la Jeunesse) platform.

GCSES biology explores the fundamental principles of living organisms and their interactions with the environment. I will be helping students to apply their knowledge to exam style questions, allowing them to acheive top marks. As well as helping them grasp concepts, we will be doing a mixture of past paper questions as well as developing their understanding of topics.

Need extra support when studying Dutch in primary or first grade of secondary school? I like to help repeat or process new material. I start from the handbooks that you use yourself, and collect material that can help you.

A little bit about my background... Currently I’m running a school in Japan and I work as a headteacher. I have 10 years of teaching experience in both English and Japanese, providing group lessons and private lessons primarily in Japan and Toronto. I grew up in Japan, therefore, I am fluent in Japanese. Besides English and Japanese, I’m also fluent in Farsi. After graduating from a Japanese high school, I went to University of Toronto to study Life Science and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science. I was hired as a language teacher in one of the language school located in downtown Toronto. While I was in Toronto, I aimed to provide maximum opportunities for both Japanese and foreign students to share their perspectives and opinions on different topics while understanding cultural, habitual and historical differences. I have always been eager to learn different language and I had always loved teaching outside of work during my free time, which led me to build my career in education and I have obtained many years of professional teaching experiences over time. Evie studied music at university in London and has been playing violin and viola for over 20 years. She is interested in a broad range of music, which she hopes to share with students of all ages and abilities in their lessons. As a performer, Evie plays in various settings - folk, jazz, in bands, as well as more typical orchestral and chamber ensembles. Her own musical interest currently lies in folk, baroque music and improvisation. Evie has been teaching a broad range of students for the last eight years: those who wish to take graded exams, those looking to explore folk and improvisation, expand their repertoire, or brush up on technique. She also currently teaches group violin classes at a primary school in London. She has found that encouraging a structured and regular practice at home, if possible with the help of a parent or guardian, is the best way to reach goals and feel confident while playing.
