Learn world history, international relations, and political science from a former U.S. diplomat with 16 years of professional experience in Asia, Africa, and Washington, D.C. This class is designed for high school and university students, adult learners, and anyone interested in developing a deeper understanding of how international affairs, politics, economics, and diplomacy actually work. Lessons can be tailored to your interests, academic coursework, or professional goals. Topics can include international relations and foreign policy; diplomacy and negotiation; the United Nations and other international organizations; U.S. government and foreign policy; international security; global economic and technology issues; cross-cultural communication; and the relationship between history and current world events. My teaching style emphasizes understanding and discussion rather than simply memorizing facts. We'll examine why countries and leaders make the choices they do, how governments negotiate and cooperate, and how historical and cultural factors shape today's world. Before transitioning into education, I served for 16 years as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, with assignments in China, Indonesia, Madagascar, Chad, and Washington, D.C. I have also taught English in China and Japan, served as a graduate teaching assistant in international relations at American University, and taught undergraduate students at the University of Maryland. Whether you're preparing for a class or exam, considering a career in international affairs, or simply want to understand world events more deeply, I will tailor our lessons to your interests and goals.

Justin is a true professional and is really gifted at helping job seekers in their career path. He assisted me a lot with career advice, job application adaptation and proofreading. He is really good at communication, reading between the lines, and highlighting the core idea. Our lessons or as I would rather call it a master class, were absolutely great and easy going. Thank you very much, Justin, for your amazing approach, custom-made professional and easy attitude, and a super international mindset. I would very much recommend it!
