Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. I'm taking Chinese group classes for absolute beginners in Brussels and have had 8 lessons (3hrs/lesson) so far. We're learning vocabulary and grammar, but don't speak much. I came to Stephanie especially to work on the speaking and as such, I have spoken and heard more Chinese in my first 1 hour lesson than in all those classes together I reckon. She forces me to explain things in Chinese and to focus on the important things and not get distracted by details and get ahead of myself, which is exactly what I need. It did feel like I was starting all over again from scratch. It was like hitting the reset button. In the meantime, she has been very patient with me as I have a busy work-schedule and don't have much time to practice. I would like to have more lessons per week, but unfortunately my agenda does not allow that. I can highly recommend Stephanie. -- update after 5 lessons: I still recommend Stephanie with 5 stars. I have learned a lot, not easy, definitely not boring as classroom classes can be, and a lot more helpful. Speaking is learning.

Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended.
