Je leert noten lezen, ritme tappen, beide handen tegelijk gebruiken, hard en zacht spelen, akkoorden herkennen en nog veel meer. Pianospelen is een echte kunst, maar bijna iedereen kan het leren! Als je regelmatig oefent, zul je versteld staan van jezelf. We beginnen met een goede basis, zoals de juiste zit- en handhouding, muziekschrift lezen en in tempo spelen. Voor gevorderde leerlingen ligt de focus op articulatie, dynamiek, frasering en hoe je in een klassieke of populaire stijl speelt. In mijn lessen ligt de nadruk op ritme en expressie. Het gaat er niet om dat je iets supersnel kunt, maar dat je een pianostuk met gevoel en in het juiste ritme kunt spelen. Ik ben nu 41 en speel piano sinds mijn 8e. Ik begon met eenvoudige stukjes en kreeg les van verschillende leraren, waaronder Sherry van Baaren. In Enschede studeerde ik bij de Russische pianist Michail Markov voor de juiste interpretatie van klassieke muziek zoals Mozart-sonates en romantische stukken. Dit alles heeft ertoe geleid dat ik nu zelf pianoles geef en daarnaast ook mijn eigen pianomethode heb geschreven. Ik werk als leraar op een internationale basisschool in Nederland en ben gewend te werken met kinderen van 3-12 jaar. Trusted teacher: Private lessons for beginners to advanced level of violin playing. All ages are welcome. I am a professionally trained teacher and violinist for almost two decades. My lessons are given in English, Spanish and (soon) Dutch and French. My teaching method is variable depending on the students' needs, but the goal is shared: to make a great musician and qualified violinist out of the pupil. I work on both technical and musical aspects from a (very) consciously prepared healthy and enjoyable perspective. Particular emphasis on having fun with the little ones! I pay special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of my students. I also give some additional tools applicable to the violin playing which includes: Introduction to Yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Body & Mind. All the basic theory is taught too. Occasionally, there are student concerts and collaborations with other teachers. (These may include some teachers from the Sweelinck Academy or the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and more). From among the required tools for my lessons are: a violin and a bow, score and books purchases when necessary, and, from time to time, meetings with the parents. On occasion, I use digital tools like phone/tablet apps. I can teach in various places near or in the centre of Amsterdam, or, depending on the need, I can move to pretty much wherever in The Netherlands. About the homework, I send it to the students on a weekly basis and encourage them to participate on competitions and summer music courses. As always, this is conditional on the pupil's stage.

Jakub is a fine teacher. Throughout my multiple session over 3-4 months, i have exceeded my own expectation. I started from 0 experience, Jakub broke down the drawing into multiple exercises focusing on different aspects. He focused on explaining the theory and mistake of my drawing. Excellent teaching skills. I had booked private lessons and Ton tailored every session exactly to my needs, and added even more. Beside photography, we discussed day-to-day technical topics such as back-up, storage, organising images, etc. You can see that Ton is used to being in a classroom - very structured and content focused. Excellent communication, always on time and also flexible to reschedule if needed. I will be back with more questions!
