About Me
Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was 7 years old. I started by teaching my toys and my classmates, who would often come over to my house for lessons. Over time, during my bachelor’s studies, I developed a strong interest in music psychology, teaching methods, and how to make learning enjoyable and efficient.I create personalized, creative exercises to make the learning process both entertaining and effective. My goal is to help students grasp the fundamentals of music, such as sight-reading, in the fastest and most enjoyable way possible. Using various techniques, I focus on making the music "alphabet" easy to master, so that students can quickly learn to read and appreciate music.
So, whether you are a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, I am here to guide you through an enriching musical journey🎶✨😊
Education
I had the privilege to study at the Kyiv Conservatory, the most prestigious musical institution in Ukraine. My teacher was a concert pianist who had studied under Liforenko, a renowned musician. As interesting fact, in the first year of studies we were given the task of tracing our musical lineage for better understanding of our musical identity. To our surprise, all students, including myself, found that it eventually led back to Beethoven!
The corridors of the conservatory were full of portraits of famous musicians, so the atmosphere always encouraged practicing the piano .
My education also included subjects like economics, psychology, and religious studies, which enriched my worldview and helped me develop creative analogies for effective teaching.
Experience / Qualifications
I began working as an accompanist for a bell choir when I was 18, while also giving private music lessons. Over time, I expanded my teaching to a private school where I worked with students of all ages. There I developed and refined my method of quickly teaching musical notation, which I still use today. After relocating to Brussels due to the situation in Ukraine, I shifted my focus to performance practice. I had the opportunity to perform with other musicians across various towns and stages of Belgium, including Bozar, where we showcased both classical European and Ukrainian music.

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any levelI teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.
I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Cheslava
Piano and Singing tutor with 5 years experience and professional educationFrom my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons,
cultural studies.
During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant.
My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis).
So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

Piano lessons for all levels and ages. Relaxed teaching approach!I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide).
I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it.
My main goal is helping you achieving your goals and preparing the best lesson for you!
I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory.
I earned a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance, Classical Music (4 years). I have participated in numerous Piano Masterclasses in Europe and I studied with great pianists. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians, I believe learning never stops.
I have much to share with my students.
TEACHING STYLE
I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality.
I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos.
I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits.
My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas).
I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same.
I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano.
I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation.
I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons.
CURRICULUM
I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years.
For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs.
Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible.
I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
Piano/Keyboard - Alfred , Hal Leonard, Abrsm Grade (1-8), Trinity Grade (1-8), Hanon etc.
