Teaching music that you would like to play for people, for yourself, whatever you want, I will find ways to help you with my practice methods, using my knowledge and experience that I got for more than 15 years of studying music, playing on stage, in a choir, with an orchestra, in music competitions, the difference of playing in all those situations, how to deal with your emotions when you play in front of people, and more.

Each one of us has a divinely unique, and gorgeous voice. It is my greatest passion to help beings fully discover that voice and help it grow in strength, in confidence, in love. Over the last 30 years I've been singing and training, I've combined all I've digested from my own live shows, sessions, and self-mastery, and as well as from teachers, directors, and mentors and put them in a graceful and easily digestible bank to pull from to specifically help individuals voices soar healthily and powerfully. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. However, if you lack a passion for music or the instrument itself, I advise against pursuing it. As a friendly and passionate teacher, I derive joy from witnessing my students' progress and enjoy playing duets with them. I have my Grade 8 in Singing, as well as having been trained in Music at degree level in multiple genres of vocal performance and additionally with 25 years of experience in performing arts.
