I am currently studying jazz guitar at KUG - Kunstuniversität Graz. I learned guitar at Conservatory for music and ballete in Ljubljana and I have been playing guitar for 12 years. I am a jazz guitarist but I can also offer you knowledge in other musical genres (classical music, funk, rock, pop, soul, etc.). I enjoy working with everyone who want to learn to play the guitar. I use to teach in my hometown (Buenos Aires, Argentina) for the last 12 years and I continue now in Graz. Depending on the student interests and previous level I make custom lessons. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more. From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano. I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills.
