After working as a Northern Lights guide and photographer, I have noticed that quite a few people come with their cameras hoping to capture an aurora borealis, but without any prior experience in night photography. This art requires patience, technique and practice, especially when it comes to the Northern Lights where the light is constantly changing. I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education. At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography.
