I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. I offer lessons on Piano with personalized lessons for each student according to the goals and the music the student wants to play. We will work on several topics as recognition of the instrument, technique, reading, repertoire, harmony, ear training and composition among other topics. The main topics we'll work on are: Recognizing piano, technique, sound, ear training, transcribing, harmony and harmony applied to the instrument, and reading and studying the instrument through the music you like and choose.

This other class would cover a range of electric guitar techniques, from classic rock-inspired "Little Wing-ish" hammer-ons and pull-offs to harder rock styles like fast picking, sweep picking and pinch harmonics. Of course, this course will also be structured around and practiced with the specific songs you'd like to learn and play. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Hi, I’m Cassie—a British jazz saxophonist, award-winning composer, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire graduate, now based in Berlin. I’m currently looking for a couple of private saxophone and/or composition students who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Saxophone Lessons: With a strong background in Jazz and improvised music, I offer saxophone lessons tailored to each student’s needs—whether you’re preparing for ABRSM or Royal College exams (or other equivalent examination boards), exploring jazz improvisation, or just playing for fun. As a performer, I’ve played at major festivals and venues across the UK, USA & Europe such as Glastonbury Festival (UK, SXSW (USA) and Paris Jazz Festival (FR). I am still active as a touring band-leader/artist and I bring that real-world experience into my teaching. Composition Lessons: As a classical composer, my work spans orchestral, chamber, and jazz ensemble writing, with commissions from leading arts organisations and orchestras - recent commissions include the London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic. My lessons focus on notation, orchestration, and arranging—whether you’re composing for small ensembles or larger-scale works. I hold a BMus Hons degree in composition from Trinity Laban Conservatoire (London) where I studied with American composer Stephen Montague and British composer Andrew Poppy. I am a classical pianist, holding two Master's degrees from the Royal Academy of Music - Postgraduate Certificate in Performance (UK, London, 2015), and Guildhall School of Music and Drama - Master of Performance, advanced instrumental studies: Piano (UK, London, 2019). During studies, I took part in masterclasses with world-renowned teachers and pianists, including Ian Fountain, Colin Stone, and Simon Trpceski. I did solo recitals in Russia, Switzerland, and the UK. I also won the internal piano competition Romantic Piano Prize, which was held at Guildhall School of Music.
