I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

My name is Virág, and I am a Visual Development Artist and Character Designer. I have honed my skills as a 2D illustrator and visual developer, working as both a character and background designer in the Netherlands. There, I contributed to a variety of projects, including music videos, informative animations, promotional videos, and posters. Notably, I worked on animated music videos for Spinning Records and Steve Aoki's '6OKI' animated music video series. While my primary focus is on the cartoon style, I have experience in a diverse range of styles, including corporate, whiteboard animation, realistic, and children's illustration. My journey in drawing began in my childhood, with experiences at places like 'Corvin Drawing & Design School' and 'Secondary School of Visual Arts, Budapest'. In 2019, I completed the Concept Art course at 'Mesharray, Budapest', which set me on the path to my current career. I’m excited to share my expertise on character design for animated clips, highlighting key aspects to consider during the design process, the various styles available, and how it all comes together on screen. I’m also offering a Photoshop and Illustrator course designed specifically for beginners who want to dive into the realm of digital drawing. Feel free to reach out and say hello! These courses are aimed at amateurs who are curious to discover or deepen their knowledge of painting, graphics, abstract art and colour work. They are also perfect for unique moments to share in a group: team building, bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthdays or any other creative event. The goal is to explore and free your imagination through painting (acrylic, watercolor, oil and dry pastel). Here, it is not about reproducing reality, but about exploring the movement of the brush, the shapes and colors that translate your emotions and ideas, to create a personal and unique work. Painting and drawing are not just techniques—they are also powerful tools for presentation, mediation, and self-expression. This class will guide you through the essentials of painting and drawing, covering foundational skills such as perspective, anatomy, and color theory, as well as techniques for analyzing and critiquing artwork. From still life and portraiture to landscapes, abstract painting, and multimedia art, this course will support you in developing your unique visual language. Based on your individual goals and interests, I will create a tailored plan to help you achieve the best possible outcomes in your artistic journey.

Photoshop is used differently for painting and drawing than for photography retouching. I will show you how to use all the tools of the program, but I will also teach you how to think about game art, concept art and illustration, whether it is for character design, creature design, environment design or prop design. I will also teach you all the fundamentals that are essential in the industry, such as anatomy, perspective, colour and light, and composition. After graduating from l'École Émile Cohl with a bachelor specialised in Game Art, I have had the chance of working with more than 15 different studios of video games, board games, trading card games and tabletop RPGs, creating concept art and illustrations for them. Now an Art Teacher, I use my experience and skills both as an artist and as a teacher to share with you all my knowledge of the subject and of the industry.

Painting works as a different kind of language for kids. In an art lesson, a child learns (according to their age and character) how to use this language better, to express themselves more precisely. Many kids are hiding a great artist inside them, but art lessons are not just for gifted kids. And, although there are many great artists who got inspired by children's drawing, the goal is not to train children as an artists, but help them become more aware of the means of expression that are in their disposal , which will later make them more balanced adults, who are aware of the way art narrates the history of our world. This is achieved by familiarizing kids with a variety of techniques and artists. Since the lessons are private, there can be a lot of flexibility with that.

This is a matte painting portfolio build-up class designed for those interested in creating a professional portfolio and pursuing a career in film postproduction. In this class, you will learn industry-standard techniques to transform scenes from day to night and create stunning, atmospheric environments. Through hands-on practice, you’ll gain a solid foundation in matte painting essentials, working with lighting, color correction, and composition. By the end of the course, you will have developed a polished portfolio with pieces that showcase your ability to enhance storytelling through visual landscapes—ideal for launching your journey in the world of postproduction.

I'm a practising artist with extensive experience teaching Fine Art Painting and Drawing. Sometimes it seems like unforeseen forces are holding you back from doing the things you dream of, maybe you've been feeling blocked, lethargic, listless or struggling with direction. These hurdles we often place in front of ourselves to stay safe, fear of failure is a common thing in creative subjects! In this course we will begin to look at the principles of creative play, technique, concept development, developing creative practise, 'red threads', portfolio curation, industry insights etc. Together we can tailor the course to your individual needs, this could be in the form of directly acquiring new technical skills through one on one painting tuition or developing an action plan to elevate you towards your goals.
