With a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, even the most sophisticated, holds (almost) no secrets for me. I will combine both a scientific and pedagogical approach in order to support the student in the best possible way in his learning process. Allowing him to acquire not only the theoretical knowledge necessary for a more complete understanding of the subject but also the tools and techniques to be ready for all the situations to come in his journey. Progress reports, homework and individual guidance are provided after each lesson.

Aware of the psychological and emotional impact on our children, I offer a support service for students aged 15 and over. Having been a teacher for 8 years (including several years of support for students with learning disabilities and specific needs) and after training as a life coach, I offer you a new coaching method. This service aims to listen to the needs of young people (to do this, we will spend a significant amount of time to define the most emotional problem and the most important objective to achieve), and to help them find their field, and thus adopt a choice of option that really suits them. In addition, after this work, it is also a question of allowing them to know themselves better and to be able to find their working method and adapt it for all subjects.

Private lessons given during weekends and holidays for children and teenagers. As a teacher for over 20 years, I help your children with exams and other matters. Through games for the youngest, I teach them a new language alone or in groups of two or three during school holidays.

With my thorough knowledge of the Chinese language and culture, we will search together for the appropriate way to master the language. In my experience, everyone learns in a different way, so we will find out together what is the most fun! I graduated in 2017 as a Sinologist at Ghent University (Chinese language and culture). I also obtained a master's degree at Sichuan University (四川大学) (2018). After that, I spent a few years in China. In addition to a basic course with an emphasis on oral, I create lessons that go beyond just language. Chinese language is embedded in culture and history, so we also take a moment to reflect on that. I have experience with private lessons for adults who move to China as expats, but the lessons are flexible and for all ages! Lessons: I use a basic Chinese course but there is a lot we can fill in ourselves. What kind of series/films do you like to watch? Is there any music you like to listen to? Through these questions I can recommend certain Chinese music and series that we can work with. For example, instead of homework I will give a film to watch, this way we learn through absorption instead of forcing ourselves to remember everything. If it is fun, everything sticks better! Would you like to focus more on speaking instead of writing or vice versa? That is possible, in which situations would you like to use Chinese? For work or for a trip? That way we can adapt the lessons to personal wishes. Once we have progressed a bit further, I also organize lessons and dinners with Chinese friends in Ghent or Brussels, so we can practice with real "native speakers". This class provides tailor-made Chinese language courses for any age. By default, the course focusses on oral communication (listening and speaking skills) with a large amount of interaction. Reading and writing is available (and recommended), but optional. As a non-native speaker, I know what it is to learn Chinese at a later age. The Economics 1 course will start with a presentation of the demand and supply economic model in order to provide an analysis of the mechanisms and inner workings of competitive markets (price determination, equilibrium quantity, etc.).
