I am a Manchester based actress and I have been working professionally in the Musical Theatre industry for 10 years after graduating from Laine Theatre Arts in 2015. I have been lucky enough to travel the world as a Lead Vocalist and perform in several plays, pantomimes, musicals and commercials. I am super passionate about teaching others and getting the absolute best out of them. I truly believe encouragement and confidence is the key to success! I have taught Musical Theatre, Singing and Dance for over 15 years and specialise in acting through song. I love bringing my acting training in to songs and really thinking about the words we are singing and what we are trying to achieve through this, what is the purpose of the song etc - this is so important and can be transformational! I can also help with technique, warm ups and cool downs, vocal health and audition prep in either Pop or Musical Theatre. Also because I am still currently working in the industry I have first hand knowledge in what is happening at the moment and how things work. Mary has been great in our interactions. At the moment, we are meeting twice a week for an hour each session. She started with a class in which we got to know each other and she listen to my goals. Then, she prepared exercises and lessons specially designed to help me reach those goals with practice and also prepared lessons to help me continue growing as a guitar player. Moreover, she goes often out of her way to get songs challenging to my level, but that are doable with enough practice. In all, I am enjoying quite a lot of our classes and I am always looking forward to them.

Carlos is an amazing teacher! I have learned more studying with him in a few months then I have learned in a year with other teachers. He is patient, knowledgeable and organized. We have good conversations and he really knows how to activate the language and give confidence to his students. For more basic students like myself it's very useful that he can speak other languages so well, although we use mostly Spanish in our lessons. He is simply the best! I highly recommend Carlos as a teacher!
