Dear future students :) Nice to meet you! I'm Rebeka, a jazz vocalist, composer and musician based in Amsterdam. I am holding a bachelor and a master degree in jazz singing from the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam. Besides being a singer and performer, my other passion is teaching and connecting to people through music. I am aiming to help my students finding their strengths and uniqueness and encouraging them how to overcome any challenges that come on their way. I believe that creating a safe and friendly environment always allow the students to easily unfold and deal with their barriers. My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student I have, regardless of the subject to work on (musical language, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.) I always apply the Belgian teaching model, where I trained with my master's degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main thing is a living and practical teaching, taking understanding and not memory as the main learning engine.

One of the most wonderfull string instrument is the cello. If you want to learn how to play cello or just to continue improving your skills do not hesitate to contact me. I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I am a freelance musician, performing with several orchestras across Europe. I have recently finished my Masters Studies in KASK Conservatorium, Belgium and am currently living in Oslo.
