I'm an italian professional violinist graduated in the Hochschule der Kunste in Bern and a member of Argovia philharmonic, Sinfonietta Lausanne and City Light Symphony Orchestra. I teach children and adults from beginner to advanced level. My classes are for everyone! I adapt my teaching method to every student's profile, wish and need in order to learn faster and improve violin skills having fun. We can choose the repertoire together, from classical to modern and popular music. I have more than 7 years of teaching experience, I speak italian, english and spanish.

My name is Gianni, I'm a professional musician, currently living in Basel and doing my master's degree in double bass at the Musik Akademie Basel. I've been playing and studying music since I was 7 years old; I started with classical guitar, then electric guitar and electric bass, then I started double bass and lately I'm learning saxophone. I would say my main instruments are guitar and bass and I have been teaching these for 5 years to students of different levels and different aspirations. For me it is very important to understand what the student wants and needs to guide him on the best path; I also try to always make the classes a fun learning environment. I could teach at my school - the jazz camps, in Basel - or at the student's home.

My name is Léna, and I offer violin lessons for all ages and skill levels. I have many years of experience in private instruction and am currently completing my Master of Pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FHNW) in Basel. I particularly enjoy the duality of learning: building a solid foundation and working on technique, which ultimately allows one to experience complete freedom and joy on the instrument. I personally find the balance between the two by working according to the principles of the Alexander Technique and paying attention to physical health and the sustainability of playing. I implement this in my teaching; I find it very important to tailor the lessons, exercises, and method closely to the goals and personality of the students. I also have a master's degree in violin with an old scale, which I completed at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Early music is my other great passion, so there's always the opportunity to learn about historical performance practice! After more than 23 years of playing this wonderful instrument, the freedom of music still inspires me and keeps me going. I look forward to accompanying you on your musical journey!

I offer lessons in Classical music theory at all levels - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. In my theory classes we’ll look at the fundamentals of rhythm, pitch, solfège, intervals, key signatures, cadences, and other important groundwork whose rigorous study we can then apply to real-life examples of music, helping you acquire a sharper analytical ear. I a professional musician and have taught piano to children for three years at the Pico Music School in Lucerne. We will learn at the piano how to play and how to read and hear music. It is important to me that the children learn good practice skills and that they have fun in the lessons and at home.

Cello lessons should arouse joy and curiosity. My students will explore their instrument in their own way and find their own sound. It doesn't matter whether it's classical, new music, pop/jazz or improvisations, because it's about making music. Since I have a very broad background - I studied classical education, now I'm studying new music, I play in a band and a string quartet and improvise regularly - I'm very happy to pass on my knowledge and experience. The lessons will be very individualized because I respond to the students' wishes and ideas. Group lessons for up to three people are also possible. Orchestral musician and chamber musician, holder of a double master's degree in pedagogy and performance in France and abroad, I would be happy to accompany you on the way to learning violin. With 15 years of experience, I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola that I have practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles. Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day goes by that I tell myself that motivation and pleasure are the biggest drivers of learning.
