Hi everyone, My music adventure started with playing piano when I was 8 years old. When I was 14, I got accepted from Istanbul University State Conservatoire and started to play flute and saxophone. After I graduate, I went to Marmara University Music Education department in Istanbul and graduated in 2016. In the same year, I moved to the Netherlands in order to study jazz music. I graduated from Prince Claus Conservatoire in 2020 and moved to Berlin last January for work and my master programme. I used to perform on various genres with different setups in lots of different venues in Istanbul and Europe. I mainly play contemporary/experimental music, but also enjoy playing and teaching pop, jazz, classical, blues, funk, soul, latin, afro-jazz.

I previously earned a diploma in modern singing from the Música Creativa and Musics at the Centro Superior de Artes Escénicas in Madrid. Today, I'm an active musician and, in addition to performing, I also teach music at various schools and privately. One of the schools where I teach is the German School in Madrid. My way of teaching is to focus on developing confidence in using the tools for realizing your creative potential. Teaching is very important to me; to impart knowledge to a student and see them grow musically is something I find highly rewarding. In classes (held both online and offline with safety precautions in place) I focus on each student’s individual needs and cover DAW’s necessary for their aims, from Ableton Live, to Bitwig and Logic. Bio: Hayden is a classically trained composer and sound artist from the UK, currently based in Berlin. His interest in the space between strains of acoustic and electronic music and attentiveness to composition acts as a connecting thread in his multiple artistic projects. Besides performing with his solo project, Hayden also acts as leader of the critically acclaimed band Tether, performs as an instrumentalist, and works as a sound designer for advertising, film, and theater. He has designed soundscapes for Ableton, Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, and Cashmere Radio amongst others.

Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. I am offering Pop, Jazz, Classical singing classes for all levels and ages - basically whoever wants to initiate, improve, or perfect their vocal technique is welcome. I teach both in person and online. I have students from all over the world: Netherlands, France, Japan, Bulgaria, Latvia and more. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music.
