I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills. I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor) at Complutense University of Madrid. Later and determined by my love for languages, I completed the BA in Linguistics in Leiden University, following the Brain and Cognition specialization, which focuses in how language and second languages learning works in a neural level. Depending on the goal, the learning or lesson method is different. Normally, the first day I meet the student and we talk about what he or she expects and the topics we need to pay more attention. From that, I organise and structure a learning plan for reaching the desired goals (listening, speaking, writing, etc) or level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

I'm a native of Spanish and English and proficient in Mandarin Chinese (HSK6). I completed my Chinese studies in 2019 in Harbin, China. I have been working as a Spanish, English, and Mandarin Chinese tutor online for two years and work at the Confucius Institute of the Dominican Republic as a mandarin tutor throughout 2019-2020. Over the last year, I have had over 250 students from all over the world and 1000 lessons. More than 100 out of 250 students are kids aged 5-15. I lived in Luxembourg where I attended the European School of Luxembourg II where I studied French, Spanish, English, and Italian as well as Economics for four years. Living in Luxembourg gave me the opportunity to learn and speak many different languages fluently since it is a multicultural country.

I am a professional English teacher with over 8 years experience in various teaching roles. I have experience of teaching all ages from 3 up to 65+ in group classes or 1-on-1. I realized that taking the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB) during High School, not only prepared me for university but also equipped me with research and analysis skills, allowing me to be a better professional in the future. Nevertheless, I am aware that this programme is also extremely challenging, and most students, just as I did, need some guidance throughout the process. Here, I may come in to help you. For all the people, being young or adult, just beginning or already having some knowledge of the language, this is your class. If you would like to on a trip to a Spanish-speaking country or you are planning to go to study or work there, if you are interested in Catalan culture and its language... you are more than welcomed! Learning a foreign language is always a challenge, but an exciting one, and together we can enjoy it! I'm a bilingual native speaker of Spanish and Catalan, with some experience teaching the language to foreigners when I was living in Barcelona (before I moved to The Hague), and also giving private lessons to high school students.

This class is to ve fluent in the everyday use of Italian. This class will be helpful for both who are personally driven to the culture and language and who need to use it on a daily basis in their working/studying environment. The class can be adapted to the student's needs. Even though not fluent, I have spent half of my life in Italy, or academically involved with Italian culture and language. Therefore this class can be beneficial for those who would like to advance their knowledge. There will be a particular emphasis on the cultural aspect of the language that will be given in the teaching approach, both to familiarize the learner to the particular culture and to get deeper knowledge on the grammar and pronunciation.
