I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. My name is Lauren I am a violist and composer based in Schöppingen, Germany. I received my Bachelors Degree in Viola Performance at The Juilliard School in 2019, and have since taught music lessons online and in-person since 2013. I have experience teaching students of all ages, from 3-80. I teach classical music, improvisation, even electronics, if that is of interest. I always cater to the needs and interests of my students, creating an individualized lesson plan for them. I have studied Alexander Technique, and always emphasize the importance of physical health and comfort in my instrumental teaching. When teaching composition - I enjoy discovering the creativity of each student, helping them find their individual voice. I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me! - To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing. - Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but for me we can go from baroque to blues, from blues to Haydn's sonatas, from Haydn to bebop and from bebop to Michael Jackson. Why not? Dear students, My name is Giacomo and I hold two Master of Arts in Music Performance, one in Rome and one from the "Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste" in Zurich. During my class lessons you'll learn the wonderful art of playing the violin, an incredible instrument! I have many years of experience with teaching, I do private lessons and I have worked as a teacher for "Tiziano Rossetti International Music Academy in Lugano" for several years. As a teacher my goal is to bring out the best version of my students, using their individual strenghts, which are different for each of them. It's a pleasure for me to teach to anybody who wants even just to discover the art of playing the violin. As a pedagogue, after one month experience in a meditation retreat in Thailand, my approach involves not only focusing on the technical development of the instrument but also paying close attention to the physical and mental well-being of my students.
