I offer classes for two different groups: - Young adults preparing for TOEFL/GRE with sessions focused on solving exercises from the exams and improving the student's skills - Academic English for researchers and people in academia, where we focus on methods, format and language of academic texts. Sessions could be focused on review the student paper A little about myself. I am a Researcher. I lived in the USA twice, as an exchange Student at MIT for a year and as a J1 worker at McDonald's for 3 months. I scored 103 and 112 in the two times I did the TOEFL exam, and I scored at the 99% math percentile in my GRE score. I was born in Brazil, and I am a native Portuguese speaker. I have lived in Leuven for five years, so we can communicate in basic Dutch.

As a native English speaking American, I aim to improve my student's breadth of grammar and understanding of the English language through one-on-one and group lessons, advancing from any level. Having spent all my life in the United States, I also can train my students on the American vernacular and culture. I have a minor in English Literature from a college in Chicago.

I am a student of TEW at the KULeuven and would like to offer my services to high school students who could use some help outside of school hours. Together with my students, I look for the right study approach to fully understand the courses and I try to present the subject matter in a different way so that my students gain more insight into the subject matter. I myself graduated from the Sint-Albertuscollege in Haasrode with a degree in science mathematics (6 hours) and I was raised perfectly bilingual (Dutch-French). I have several years of experience with tutoring, both to children in the 2nd year of high school and to children who are at the end of their high school and will soon be making the transition to further studies. Did you always dream to learn English language and haven't done it yet? I am here to help you out! It is one of the most popular languages on the planet, therefore it is very important to know it. This class is aimed at individuals (either kids, students or adults) who wish to learn it. You can already know basics and would like to continue learning more further on or you are starting from scratch and have a long way in front to pursue. By this class I would like to immerse you into English language environment. For the teaching purposes, throughout the classes, I will use different highly-rated textbooks of local editions, effective YouTube channels, interesting articles. I will cover main functional areas of English grammar and vocabulary within different areas and will make sure that you start speaking since the first class already, since Practice Makes Perfect and English is not so difficult as it may seem at first! The goals, needs, expectations will be discussed in person with every student and adapted towards personality. The program and classes content will also depend on the prior mentioned factors. I studied Latin Sciences at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Brussels and I am currently in my 3rd bachelor's degree in Applied Economics (TEW) at the KUL. Mathematics, science subjects, and languages can be challenging. I therefore offer my services to provide additional support to students in secondary school. Together with my students, I go over the course material, do sufficient exercises and discuss with them what the right study approach is. Economics classes for University level students will be based on student's needs (some suggestions: Econometrics, Microeconomics, Quantitative Economics). For school students, it can involve advanced learning or basic Economic knowledge (aligned to student's needs). English classes will involve writing and speaking practice (based on the student's existing knowledge). I tend to explain things pretty well. I always try to assign homework for further practice. Times can be discussed with me and I do accommodate students based on mutual availability.

I currently work as a private language teacher in Belgium and I have a good level of English. As I am not a native speaker, I do not give advanced lessons. People from any age, including kids, can follow my English lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1.

As you acquire a new skill or enhance the proficiency of a new language skill, you will be guided in grammar, vocabulary, conversations, dictions and oral articulations to aide you in communicating better with other English speakers worldwide...conversational dates, outdoor excursions & day-day routine exercise can be requested.
