Hello, my name is Ricardo and I'm a Portuguese professional opera singer and singing teacher based in London. I trained at the University of Aveiro (2010; BMus & MEdu Vocal Performance and Tuition w/ Distinction) and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (2011; MMus in Performance w/ Merit). I'm a certified singing teacher and would love to help you! I teach singing to any age range and in a variety of styles: Classical, Contemporary/Musical Theatre. I teach either at my home in Wimbledon or at the student's home. I'm happy to travel within the London metropolitan area but will adjust the price of the lessons according to the travel costs I incur. My schedule is very flexible and the lessons are to be arranged with the student on a weekly basis. My singing students will be prepared to undertake any endeavour they want to in the music world: I can prepare them to sing for fun for family gatherings, Conservatoire access, ABRSM exams or to sing professionally. I've also had great success with Skype/Facetime singing lessons. These are charged at the same price as live lessons and the date and time are to be arranged between me and the student. My Message to you: My singing teaching is based in objective physical information which you can replicate, memorise and follow. My main goal is to help you build a healthy muscle memory for singing which you can then put to the service of Art. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. In my classes I teach you how to use your voice correctly when singing, improving your breathing, voice, diction, with your favorite song repertoire. The idea is to make it very dynamic so that you fall in love with your voice and are motivated to want to work on it every day. It doesn't matter how old you are, you can learn. Experienced Oud & Oriental singing teacher for over 8 years, Lebanese, currently residing in Mönchengladbach. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I was a teacher at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also offered private lessons. Additionally, I served as a concertmaster in the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for more than 5 years. My reason for relocating to Germany is to complete my studies at the University of Kamp Lintfort. I am fluent in English, Couramment en français, ولغتي الأم هي اللغة العربية. Unfortunately, I speak only a little German (Aber leider spreche ich ein bisschen Deutsch). My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. However, if you lack a passion for music or the instrument itself, I advise against pursuing it. As a friendly and passionate teacher, I derive joy from witnessing my students' progress and enjoy playing duets with them.
