Maths Tutor - Primary school Mathmatics, Algebra, Pre-calculus, AP Calculus AB, Math SATs

Throughout my years in school, I have taught math to many of my friends and classmates. I understand that math may not be everyone’s cup of tea and that some students like it more than others. I strive to be understanding and patient with all my students during lessons as everyone has different abilities and educational backgrounds.

I completely understand the frustration of trying to grasp something and not getting it. Math often feels like that. With all the numbers and variables involved, math can be tedious and overwhelming to many students. This course is aimed at strengthening weaknesses in mathematical foundations and simplifying concepts for better understanding.

Topics covered in this course:

Pre-algebra
Algebra
Trigonometry
Pre-calculus
AP Calculus AB
SAT Math

Note: Many of these topics overlap with the British GCSE and A-Level Mathematics. If in doubt please contact me.

The most efficient way to teach a class is to be prepared in advance, so I have adopted that policy.

Please contact me via Apprentus with the topics you want me to cover so that I can prepare them in advance and make the class a fun learning experience!

About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Stephen. I am currently completing my Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Liverpool. Teaching mathematics has been a part of my life for a long time. Back when I was in school, I would tutor students and help out my friends in understanding mathematical concepts. Teaching is all about simplifying difficult ideas so that the student can absorb them smoothly. I aim to do that in my lessons.

Mathematics is a core subject in schools all around the world. Some students find math more appealing than others and that is completely fine. Every student is different therefore requires a different/unique style of teaching.

My classes will revolve around the student and the student’s needs. Learning is NOT meant to be a boring venture where the student waits for the class to end. Learning is meant to be a fun learning experience where the student expands their interests and their horizons.

As a student myself, I understand the importance of a good teacher. I aspire to be a great tutor and have a positive influence on my students.

"Good teachers know how to bring out the best in students." – Charles Kuralt

English 1st and 2nd language, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
I can teach up to GCSE level for English, Maths and all three sciences for multiple students at a time. I can go over your school notes or schoolwork depending on your preference and review past papers and exams that you have done. I can teach remotely but prefer doing it in person to build a better connection with pupils. Currently, I am a 2nd year at the University of Liverpool studying Biological Sciences. Classes will be arranged around my school timetable. Hours subject to availabilty.

Some extra help for young students (English and Maths)
I specialize in tutoring Math and English for primary school and Secondary school students. My goal is to keep students challenged, but never overwhelmed. I will assign homework if I feel it would benefit the student and provide periodic progress reports to the parents/guardians if you would like it. I am a University student so my classes are scheduled for evenings and weekends and I will be teaching 1 on 1 so that your child is getting my full attention during our lessons. These classes will aim to improve upon specific areas that your child may be struggling with instead of the broader coverage of subjects they are already receiving from their schools. During our first session, I will give the student an assessment to determine what they need to focus on but if you or the student have a specific area in mind that is more than welcome. If you would like to get in contact with me for additional information you can send me a message via Apprentus.

Tuition Math - Physics - Chemistry - Biology
Graduated and experienced for more than 18 years, I give private lessons in Mathematics - Analysis - Matrices - Statistics - Algebra - Geometry - Physics - Chemistry - Biology, Geology to students of French program of Terminales, patent and secondary or international programs (IB ) or Canadian in English (Grade 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) or competitions and medical university preparatory classes or 1st and 2nd university years for the academic year 2022/2023 either at home or by internet online by virtual class method . The online method is easily done by a link that serves as a writing board, typing and projection more than Skype or Zoom talking about which we communicate. This method is very modernized and reliable (it's like we are in the same place) for more than 6 years I have been working by this method. The results of my students and in particular the students of Terminale are superb with successes in mention very good and good and sometimes excellent. Homework help for CNED students. Math tutoring for high school students
As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material! We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition. The sessions generally take place according to the following stages: 1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps. 2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises. 3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach. 4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course. I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach. In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

A highly experienced Franco-Belgian teacher (ook in het nederlands!) offers private lessons in mathematics (including finance), probability and statistics, as well as physics, chemistry, and biology for secondary and higher education levels. For physics, chemistry, and biology, the instruction is tailored to the secondary level, specifically up to the 5th year of secondary education in Belgium. Whether you prefer lessons at your place, my place, or remotely, I am flexible to accommodate your needs. If necessary, I can travel to your home in Brussels, Walloon and Flemish Brabant, with a minimum duration of 2 hours per session. The lessons are designed to provide extensive practice with numerous exercises. Distance learning options are also available through platforms such as Skype, Facebook, etc. Please note that for students in France, only distance learning courses are provided. In mathematics, I specialize in various topics and frequently provide lessons covering the entire secondary school curriculum, including math 6 and higher. These topics encompass factorization, equations of the 1st and 2nd degree (with in-depth study of parabolas), limits, derivatives, integrals, exponentials and logarithms, as well as trigonometry. Additionally, I am occasionally called upon to teach analytical geometry in space, including equations of lines and planes. For statistics and probabilities, I provide instruction in descriptive and inferential statistics (univariate and bivariate), covering confidence intervals and hypothesis tests, applicable to secondary and higher education levels. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss and arrange the lessons based on your specific needs and availability. My aim is to help you enhance your skills effectively and provide personalized instruction. By tailoring the lessons to your requirements, we can ensure rapid progress in your studies.
