Marjolaine
French PhD student proposes private lessons in Mathematics, Physics and Biology (in French or English)
Graduated from EPFL and Harvard, I offer courses in scientific subjects (to you or your child). Give your child the means to succeed: new work methods, understanding of the course adapted to the student... About me: I am a French student, doing a PhD in bioengineering at Imperial College. I went to high school in Paris, and I obtained my Baccalaureate with honors. I did my Bachelor's and Master's in Life Sciences Engineering at EPFL and I spent 6 months at Harvard. I am used to teaching, having been a tutor during my master. I enjoy helping students to understand their mistakes and to reinforce their level in scientific subjects. I would love to meet you! :)

Eliška
IGCSE and IB Physics, Maths and Chemistry tutoring
Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620). I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share! I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. Please message me before booking so we can find a time that works for both of us! If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :)

GCSE Phys, Chem, Maths, highest mark in 2019. Imperial undergraduate.
Highest mark for Physics IGCSE in Malaysia. Highest mark for Physics and Chemistry international A level in South Korea. I’m currently an undergraduate at Imperial and I enjoy teaching in general. I teach GCSE Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Review all the topics, solve topic questions and practice with past papers again and again. This will help you master all the key points and understand the concept better.

Iftekhar
GCSE/A-Level Maths & Physics by Imperial Engineering Student
3rd Year Electronic and Information Engineering student at Imperial College London. I have 3 years' experience tutoring Maths & Physics both in person and online and I am very familiar with GCSE & A-Level specification. My lessons aim to develop understanding of a topic from the ground up rather than just making students memorise lines in a textbook. This is achieved through frequent use of examples and analogies which students can visualise and relate to. On top of this I regularly provide exam practice and feedback so that students become more confident in applying their knowledge and are not intimidated by the pressure of exams. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions and I hope to teach you soon!

Private Maths and Physics lessons in French or English, French lessons
Recent graduate from a French engineering school, I am now a postgraduate student at Imperial College. I have always loved mathematics and I would like to share my love for the science with anyone who needs it. My goal is to make maths and physics simpler and funnier to study in order to help as many students as I can. I have already given mathematics classes in France and have developed a certain way of working. Usually, I first go over the lecture with the student, we read the principles and I take as much time is needed to answer any questions they might have. Then, we move on to exercises for the student to practice and apply what was learned in the lecture. The only key really in to go at your pace, there is no rush and the goal is for you to reach the understanding you desire.

Clement
Polytechnique student (l'X) gives courses in physics, chemistry and maths from high school to higher education (prep and license)
Currently doing a double degree at Imperial College as part of my fourth year at École Polytechnique, I offer science courses (math, physics, chemistry) for all levels. In addition to my training in PCSI / PC * preparatory class (Pierre de Fermat high school) and at Polytechnique, I had the opportunity to be professor of physics at Saint Joseph University in Beirut in Lebanon for an internship of 6 month. I have also tutored several students in high school and in higher education during my years at Polytechnique. With these experiences, I will be able to adapt to your needs to pass on knowledge and methods to you with rigor and enthusiasm!

Zac
Maths, Physics, Chemistry A-Level and GCSE. Test Prep Tutoring. General Problem Solving Tutoring.
Specialized tutoring for maths, physics and chemistry A-Level's and GCSE's. I like to fuse better exam performances (improving exam techniques for example) with a deeper understanding of the subject. "Give a student proper exam technique, and you teach him for a test. Teach a student to think, and you teach him for a lifetime." Both approaches are valid, but I believe I add substantial value to students education by developing a deeper understanding of a subject in addition to testing practice. I also provide general problem solving tutoring beneficial for professional tests, school entry exams and those who just want to improve their critical thinking.

Chemistry lessons for university students by Oxford uni post-doc / teaching lang: English / communication in French available
I offer private lessons in Chemistry to school students following French, British, IB or American systems. Being a PhD-holder in Chemistry from Imperial College London, I also offer support to chemistry students at university level. Classes are delivered online via Zoom. In my classes: - I encourage asking relevant questions and I am willing to repeat explanations as much as necessary. - I use technological tools and web interfaces to provide visual support to verbal explanations, which I consider a key part of effective teaching. - I share my own, tailored, class notes and encourage the student to take notes him/herself as practice. - We solve problems and I also assign homework and correct it in the following lesson. After my classes, I share my notes with my students to help them retain the information and revise.
