Welcome to my class! Please tell me what you aim with your Japanese study, for education, for JLPT, for traveling. Also tell me how you have studied Japanese. I carefully think which method and materials would work best for you. My class is customized for you and I am not the type of tutor who uses same materials for anyone. Before class time I devote preparing class for you and after class I will dedicate extra time for review to make your next class to be better. I know how to study Japanese and guide you to what you aim for (please take a look at my profile). I expect you to work hard, really hard, not only during class but before and after as well. I might ask you do homework to strengthen what needs extra practice. If you have a question that you noticed after class, contact me. I teach a variety of lessons to students of a variety of ages as well as adults. These include courses in modern global history, Japanese history, language and culture, academic English (particularly designed to help non-native speakers develop reading and writing skills, and critical thinking). Konnichiwa (Hello), I am Japanese native from Osaka and currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. I teach at Japanese School in Geneva and also offer private Japanese lessons from a complete beginner including children to an advanced learner. After understanding each learner's level, interest and goal, I will offer a main textbook and overview of the course plan. I will be using balanced approach that will improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing through proven textbooks, exercises and weigh on the practical conversations. For JLPT preparation, I will offer lessons with the text suitable for the target level across required skills. I can teach in Japanese or English fluently and in French to a limited extent. When students trust their teacher they feel free to ask questions and know that it’s okay to ask the same question repeatedly until they fully understand. Another important feature of my lessons is the quality of my follow-up reviews. My reviews are meticulous, complete with footnotes that offer supplementary information. Because of my detailed feedback students not only learn during my lesson, but after it as well.
