About Me
Hello! I enjoy teaching English because I believe that languages help us unlock the key to truly understanding people who live in places where those languages are spoken.I am an experienced teacher who also continues learning other languages myself. I have taught English in several countries on three different continents. So I appreciate that my students will have different needs based on where they live and what they want to accomplish with their language skills.
I adapt my teaching style to what my students want/need: do you need a serious coach to prepare for the TOEFL or another exam? Or do you need a fun, laidback lesson to help you learn more about how to use American idioms in everyday conversation? I have experience in both of these situations and everything in-between.
Education
Here is a list of my degrees and English-teaching qualifications:Bachelor of English: University of San Diego
TEFL certification: US Peace Corps (three month training program)
MBA: University of Arizona - Global Campus
Experience / Qualifications
20+ years of experience teaching ESL to teenagers and adult learners- Courses taught in the past at middle schools, high schools, universities, and private businesses

One of the most effective ways to prepare for these exams is with a native speaker.
We can focus on one area of the test for a single lesson... or even just last-minute conversation preparation.
Another option is to work together to prepare for each area of the exam over 5 or 10 lessons together.
The TOEFL iBT ® test has 4 sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. During the test, you'll perform tasks that combine these 4 English communication skills, such as: read, listen and then speak in response to a question. listen and then speak in response to a question.

Learn in a simple and effective way: Spanish - English - PortugueseGood morning! Buenas dias!
Delighted Michaël, teacher on the internet for more than two years. I would like to offer you a fun interaction that complements the school method. I have traveled around the globe which has led me to speak several languages and also to work in particular in England, Australia, Spain or the Dominican Republic.
Basically I start the lessons by talking with my students about a bit of everything (in order to enrich the vocabulary). Depending on the level I adapt with files that are sent during the course. I also use the Callan method which works on repetition in order to properly assimilate useful words and phrases.
All in a positive way :)
Tell me your availability if you're interested for a first lesson. At worst it will have made you practice, at best you improve!
Regards
Ophelia
ENGLISH LESSONS prof from England all levels individualised or group lessonsAre you looking for a qualified English teacher from England? You have the possibility to improve your English while being supervised by your teacher. You can work on your grammar, writing, speaking and pronunciation. Are you desperate to pass your exams, prepare yourself for an interview or correct an essay? Or do you want to go to an English school or follow an English programme? The teacher is open to your requests.
Maybe you want to share your English lesson with some of your friends? It is possible to form a group at a reduced price, tell me with whom you would like to form a group. ;-) If not, the lessons are also individualised (private).
All levels are welcome (beginners to university students)! The teacher will be happy to receive you. Lessons can also be delivered online, students even learn better when lessons are given via Skype (the teacher takes notes for you online), technology is so cool! :-)
Do you have a question? Don't worry, the teacher will be happy to answer you. Lessons usually last 50 minutes.

Learn American culture and the English languageMy English lessons are for all levels and my style is relaxed - I will adapt to you!
I have lived in several American cities (San Francisco, San Diego, Washington DC, New York) and I will be happy to talk to you about American culture. Cinema, music, politics, differences between the French and American models, comparisons between the West Coast and the East Coast... let's talk about what interests you!
I know that what helped me most in my learning English was making English-speaking friends. My priority is that you talk to me about yourself while having fun to the point of forgetting that it's in English! Let's have fun above all. :)

Private English lessons for students (primary, middle, high school) and adultsHello all,
I am Juliette, Doctor in Health Biology and holder of a Master's degree in international cooperation.
Passionate about foreign languages and intercultural exchanges, I am currently learning 2 languages on my own: Spanish and Russian.
After having taken LV1 English in middle school and high school (18/20 at the baccalaureate), I continued to learn English through my travels (Europe, India) and my research activity (I carried out a thesis in biology). I have written scientific articles in English, and I speak English on a daily basis with my foreign partner. I am level B2/C1: I got 925/990 on the TOEIC in 2021.
Regarding the courses I offer:
I favor dialogue, listening and the acquisition of vocabulary in learning a language, but I can also work specifically on grammatical or conjugation points, particularly if there are expectations linked to school programs.
Whatever the level of English targeted and the possible blocking points, I think that regular listening and practice are a sure way to anchor the good automatisms of the language in the long term. By hearing certain turns of phrase, certain grammatical notions will end up coming spontaneously to your mind when you write and express yourself.
What I propose, depending on your level and your requirements (exams, school programs, etc.):
- define together a program likely to meet your expectations
- deliver the course in English (even if it means speaking slowly, translating certain words, and mixing English with French at the beginning). Abroad, language courses are taught in the language, and this quickly contributes to progress :)
- vary the learning supports and angles: written, oral and listening. Ideally, a session will consist of all 3.
- Establish with you, depending on your availability, a program to do independently during the week (watch a short video on Monday, listen to a podcast on Wednesday, read the news on Saturday, etc.)
- gradually support you, if you wish, towards autonomy in learning this language.
Looking forward to meeting you and speaking English with you!
