With more than 200 students through all my life, more than 500 shows (mostly in Spain but also around Europe and a couple of minitours in America), 15 CD’s/EP/singles published (as a frontman, sideman and producer), a bachelor in jazz-modern music guitar (Taller de Músics - Barcelona), half bachelor in piano jazz (Conservatori del Liceu - Barcelona) and a long professional music career behind me playing a ton of different styles (pop, rock, funk, metal, jazz, folk, rumba, reggae...), I’ve come from Barcelona to Rotterdam to continue my musical journey by doing the latin master at Codarts. I’ve been working as a music teacher for around 12 years (I’m 29 years old), both doing private lessons and in different music schools, being the most important one the “Escola de Música Creu Alta” in Sabadell (Barcelona), which is one of the biggest music schools in Spain (with more than 900 students), in which I was the Head of the Modern Music Department. I teach guitar (electric and classical), piano (electric and classical), composition, musical production (with Logic Pro), ensemble and modern music theory AT ALL LEVELS, from 100% beginners to people who want to prepare themselves for the music bachelor. I can adapt totally to what the student wants and is looking for, but also, since I have a lot of experience, I have the lessons well planned, I know which songs and exercises work better depending on the aspect that we want to work (tempo, chords, scales, sound, improvisation...) and when I see someone playing I can see in which aspects is the person strong, and in which aspects has the person more problems, so that way you won’t waste your time! Also I’m a fun and very empathic person so we will have fun, which is the most important thing!! I speak 5 languages 100% fluently: Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese, French and English, so we can do the classes in one of these languages, and I’m working on my Dutch, I have an intermediate level and I think I could do lessons in it, but probably I would have to switch to English if the topic is a little difficult, I hope that changes in a few weeks/months, I’m studying every day! Het is een van de grootste muziekscholen in Spanje (met meer dan 900 studenten), waar ik hoofd van de Moderne Muziek afdeling was. Ik geef les in gitaar (elektrisch en klassiek), piano (elektrisch en klassiek), compositie, muziekproductie (met Logic Pro), ensemble en moderne muziektheorie OP ALLE NIVEAUS, van 100% beginners tot mensen die willen de muziek bachelor doen. Ik kan me helemaal aanpassen aan wat de student wil en zoekt, maar omdat ik veel ervaring heb, heb ik de lessen ook goed gepland, en ik weet welke liedjes en oefeningen beter werken, afhankelijk van het aspect waarmee we willen werken ( tempo, akkoorden, toonladders, feeling, improvisatie...). Als ik iemand zie spelen, kan ik zien in welke aspecten de persoon sterk is, en in welke aspecten de persoon meer problemen heeft, zodat je geen tijd verspilt! Ik ben ook een leuk en zeer empathisch persoon, dus we zullen plezier hebben, en dat is het allerbelangrijkste!! Ik spreek 5 talen 100% vloeiend: Catalaans, Spaans, Portugees, Frans en Engels, dus we kunnen de lessen in een van deze talen doen, en ik werk aan mijn Nederlands, ik heb een gemiddeld niveau. Ik denk dat ik kan lessen geven in het Nederlands, maar waarschijnlijk zou ik moeten overstappen naar Engels als het onderwerp een beetje moeilijk is, ik hoop dat dat over een paar weken/maanden verandert, ik studeer elke dag! De lessen kunnen plaatsvinden bij mij thuis (metrostation Maashaven) waar ik een mooie setup heb, online of bij jou thuis.

Music Theory for all levels: In this lesson you will get deep knowledge and understanding of music. Either you are a complete beginner, an instrumental performer, or you want to prepare for entrance exams into a music conservatories, these classes are perfect for you. Together we are going to read, listen and analyze music and work towards understanding it in a musical, structural and compositional level. In addition, for the instrumentalists that may join the class, we can even discuss and work on pieces that you are already studying at the moment, regarding on your musical interpretation, the piece's structure, analisys and time period.

- In a very calm and friendly environment, the classes are organized and planned according to the students' goals/wishes. As someone who was classically trained from age 6 to 18, I believe this is very important for the students well being. - If you want to improve your piano technique while also enjoying the lesson and having a sense of improvement every week, then these lessons are for you. - My classes are for everyone that wants t play anything on the piano. Be it jazz, classical, pop, etc... Also, as a composer and pianist, I will give you a different point of view from other piano teachers. I obtained two jazz saxophone diplomas from the conservatories of Bologna and Salerno, with an Erasmus experience at CODARTS in Rotterdam. I am a concert artist and have a great passion for teaching. With this lesson I will show you how to approach an instrument like the piano, such a beautiful and versatile instrument. I will teach you the technique of sound, scales, chords and their interrelationships. Are you a singer or instrumentalist who wants to learn to accompany yourself on the piano? Bandoneon is a very well know instrument for playing tango, in fact it's part of the genre's DNA. However, not many people know that the instrument was constructed in Germany and some people even say it was supposed to be used as an portable organ. This means that the Bandoneon has a technique that is independent of any genre. This technique is not found by coping other instruments such as the organ or keyboard but through the development of the nature of the instrument. This is mainly the importance of the air and how it is affected by the pulling and the movement we make when we play. Of course Tango will be an important axis of the lessons as it very important for the development of the instrument and for specific techniques but Tango won't be the starting point as it's not the best pedagogical tool for learning the instrument. But no worries, we'll get there ;) Have you ever wondered how a Gregorian chant, Bach, Mozart & Chopin might sound in the bandoneon? The results might surprise as you would get a very different sound from the one you are originally used to. Also, we can try and use the bandoneon for different and new genres, who knows what we might discover from the instrument along the way?

This lesson is to understand and expand knowledge of music theory. We can go into very basics, modern/jazz music or classical music. My goal as teacher is to adapt the lessons, lessons and tools to yours skill and your final propuse. We will learn to analyse pieces, write/compose music and how to use this knowledge practically.

As a viola player, I specialize in viola lessons from beginning to a more advanced level, but I also can teach violin to beginners or intermediate. The method I use is first to adapt to the student's wishes and then find a way to achieve this within a relaxed and healthy relationship with the instrument. This approach is based on technique and of course making music! In this lesson we could also work different styles, as I like to experiment and I find important to expand your knowledge and have a wider idea about expression while making music.

Dear students, My name is Giacomo and I hold two Master of Arts in Music Performance, one in Rome and one from the "Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste" in Zurich. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
