Hi everyone, My music adventure started with playing piano when I was 8 years old. When I was 14, I got accepted from Istanbul University State Conservatoire and started to play flute and saxophone. After I graduate, I went to Marmara University Music Education department in Istanbul and graduated in 2016. In the same year, I moved to the Netherlands in order to study jazz music. I graduated from Prince Claus Conservatoire in 2020 and moved to Berlin last January for work and my master programme. I used to perform on various genres with different setups in lots of different venues in Istanbul and Europe. I mainly play contemporary/experimental music, but also enjoy playing and teaching pop, jazz, classical, blues, funk, soul, latin, afro-jazz.

I am a music producer and film score composer from London living in Berlin. I currently tutor privately and teach at the EMS - Electronic Music School Berlin. I have taught everyone from complete beginners with no music theory knowledge, to experienced DJ's trying to up their game. I am currently preparing to teach a masterclass at my school that will cover advanced mixing, mastering and sound design. But it doesn't have to be this way, and for this I can help I've always loved theory, but it's because I started studying it by myself, way before I had to do conservatoire exams: so when the time came to approach it academically, it was easy. Theory is fascinating, it will reveal to you the mechanism of music - be it classical or pop - and will make playing and writing music much more natural. Like speaking a language you now know. I can teach it to you in a musical, natural and enjoyable way. All I ask from you is to have a small keyboard, but don't get intimidated - no piano skills are required! It's only because, in my approach, you need to visualise and hear it.

This course is above all there to make you want to play bass, let it be fun! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and the role of the bass. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
