A qualified language coach with 22 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online. I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam. Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach. I will also start groups again in January 2024. We have an excellent classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near Beurs metro station, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level). We mainly go for quality and not just a lesson. I am really involved in the student's progress. You can also choose the online lesson package with Whereby, Teams or Zoom in a comfortable way. Online classes are one-on-one or maximum one-on-two, for better results. My English is fluent, as well as Portuguese and Spanish. Online lessons last 75 minutes once a week for 10 weeks to reach a higher level. This is the normal speed. Including exam training (A-2 or Staatsexamen) and exam at the end. Intensive training ? That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1 As soon as students improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the Staatsexamen I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities. I will try to switch to conversation after a few lessons, to put your knowledge into practice as soon as possible. Don't get too caught up in the grammar. Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 22 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles. I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

Hi, My name is Cathrine. I have completed my IB diploma at Birkerød Gymnasium. I am currently pursuing my degree in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. I am originally from Malaysia but I have been living in Denmark for the past 5 years. However, English is my first language. I am fluent in speaking, reading, and writing the language. Therefore, during the lesson, I will incorporate tasks and activities involving these 3 aspects. We will also go through basic grammar rules that will be useful for both writing and daily conversations. I will provide printed worksheets and assignments (included in the fees of the lesson) to be done during the lesson and also as homework. Workbooks may be provided at an additional cost which you can work with on your own at home after the lesson. This is of course highly recommended for your own benefit as practice makes perfect. In the first meeting, we will discuss further on the preference of workload and what you would like to learn. I try to make lessons interesting by visiting places such as library, parks, etc. I believe interacting with your environment and using language in different contexts is essential to learn any new language ( Just think how babies learn) I am also willing to help small groups (3-5 people) I have provided a general overview of timings but this can be discussed. Half German living in Brussels and having studied in an International School, I am fluent in French, English and German. I believe communicating with students in the language they would like to learn is key if they want to become confident in the language. Hence, I suggest doing skype classes or real life meetings at home or outdoors depending on your preferences and talking together will be very helpful for the student to improve in a particular language. I will also help with homework, grammar and the theoretical side of the language if desired. I have been a counsellor in summer camps in Canada where I had to teach small children aged from 5-15 English. Some of them didn't even know a single word of English when they arrived. It was very hard but we managed to get to know each other, communicate well and believe me, their English improved a lot.
