Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. We can learn classical music, but also other styles such as pop. I also offer lessons focused on music theory if that is what you are looking for! I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels. In addition, I'm familiar with methods like ABRSM, Suzuki, Feuillard, Duport, Popper and Piatti.

I teach my students how to play the cello and use it to express their inner voice. I'm currently doing my master's at Luzern Hoschule and I have already taught privately for 5 years and was also a professor at a music academy. I always try to pick the artistic side of my students and give them the tools to express themselves. Every class will be adapting to the student's struggles and evolution. My student's ages go from early age to adult and elderly.

Hello! I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me! - To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing. - Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but for me we can go from baroque to blues, from blues to Haydn's sonatas, from Haydn to bebop and from bebop to Michael Jackson. Why not? With over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, I’ve developed a unique method that combines the essential skill of reading sheet music with learning to play basic tunes by ear. My approach is enhanced by a carefully curated selection of the most effective and engaging musical repertoire from around the world, offering students both a solid foundation and an enjoyable learning experience.

Viola and violin lessons suited for all ages and levels! I am originally form Argentina, and a recent graduate form the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (with a Masters degree in music performance -viola). I have lived in many different countries and played with a variety of ensembles, I am sure together we will find the best way to learn and practice these beatiful instruments in the best possible way (: Classes can be offered in English, Portuguese, or Spanish (French coming soon!) For the younger ones, lessons will be oriented towards the Suzuki method (until ages 12/13)

I'm a highly trained, long-time professional with hundreds of private students over the years and scores of appearances as an invited teacher. I'm featured in solo performances on YouTube and other platforms. My master's degree in cello is from a top US music conservatory, and I was for decades exclusively in the role of Principal Cellist with outstanding, well-known orchestras that made dozens of recordings and international tours.
