Violin lessons for children, teenagers and adults

I offer private violin lessons to ... DREAMERS, who have been dreaming of learning the violin, but haven ́t realized their thoughts yet; KIDS, of all ages, who are thinking if that ́s the right instrument or need some help with continuing their studies, technique, repertoire; ADULTS, who wanna improve their knowledge by understanding the violin, make music together or help their kids at home. Lessons can be held in Estonian, English and in German.

Ich bin eine griechische Geigerin, ursprünglich aus Thessaloniki. Seit 2009 wohne ich in Wien und habe hier mein Studium absolviert am MUK Privatuniversität in der Klasse von Lidia Baich. Vorher habe ich in Moskau am Gnessin Institut studiert. Es ist mir besonders wichtig, während der Unterrichtsstunde, meinen Studenten die Möglichkeit zu bieten, Musik zu erfahren und sich selbst in dieser schönen Sprache auszudrücken. Da ich selbst von der russischen Schule komme, werden die Grundprinzipien der Geige mit Klangschönheit, Expressivität und einem musikalischen Charakter kombiniert. Und natürlich darf der Humor dabei nicht abwesend sein!

I am a violinist based in Vienna with extensive performance and teaching experience. The last few years I have studied in many cities (such as Frankfurt, Brussels and Amsterdam), learning from some of the best music professors in Europe. Have you always wanted to play the violin? Or maybe your child is into music and would love to learn to play an instrument? Then, this might be a great opportunity for you to fulfill that desire. If on the contrary you are an advanced student, I would love to help you build solid technique and support your own musicality. On the other hand, I do love all kinds of music. I am happy to work with you in Pop or Folk songs for example. I did play many years in Pop and Folk bands at different venues, such as resorts in Greece! If you would like to, any song can be arranged and played on the violin. I love meeting new students and helping them through their journey with the instrument. Every individual has different needs and goals and as a teacher I work together with every student, giving them the tools, knowledge and support they need to reach those goals. Making music and learning how to do it should be always a enjoyable process. Fortunately, when you like music and have a supportive and experienced teacher, helping you out and giving you the tools you need in every moment, that joy and stress-free music-making comes easily. I have 10 years of experience teaching private lessons to different ages and levels and several years of teaching internships during my studies. I am a graduate of flute performance and instrumental pedagogy and a certified music physiologist. I have experience teaching in both private as well as public educational system, working with children up to 18 years old. I perform solo, in chamber groups as well as in orchestras - to complement my artistic activity, I research scientifically in the interdisciplinary field of science & medicine in arts. I offer performance preparation for competitions, auditions, concerts with any type of repertoire/ genre - we will work on your individually set artistic, expressive and instrumental goals to reach them together. I base my teachings on the fundaments of performance science, including technics, exercises and tools from music physiology and psychology, to provide you with the most optimal and balanced learning experience. I started playing the violin when I was three and up until now I've studied with Fuminori Shinozaki and Simon Wiener, amongst others. I gladly offer my assistance to you, so that you can achieve your goals efficiently. Here, it's important for me to discover your strengths together and help you develop them further. Of course, I will make sure that you have fun and you stay motivated:) Probably what's special about my lesson is that we're also going to play duets, which should help you learn to listen to other musicians and acquire the skills needed for playing in an ensemble. In the long run: it's not just about learning the rules and correct techniques; it is also vital that you eventually learn to interpret the music on your own personal way by using your (musical) intelligence, and to have the confidence to break traditional norms. It is through the hands of artists who dare to experiment that music (like all art forms) becomes alive. Your (or your child's) age doesn't matter that much; it's never too late to start learning! I will adapt the teaching methods individually.

I am an Italian pianist, I graduated at F. Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. I offer piano accompaniment to instrumentalists and singers. Being Italian my native language, I may support singers with pronunciation for the Italian Opera repertoire. Aside having a large experience in accompanying vocalists, I have an extensive background in chamber music, I have performed several times in Duo, Trio, Quintet, and I have accompanied string players for auditions, competitions and masterclasses in many different occasions. Rehearsals may take place in English, French or Italian language (basic German).

Hello! I'm Tim, a 21 year old music producer who studied music programming in London. I have taught music production to children aged 8-16 at the BRIT School (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Jesse J) and would love to pass my knowledge on to the youth of Vienna! Depending on your needs, I help with basic musical training, learning various music programs on the computer, putting together hardware and software and composing, creating and mastering your own tracks. I'm open minded, constructive and I know how to nurture talent without sacrificing the fun! I play guitar, piano, bass, and drums, but I'm also proficient with Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and GarageBand. I have experience in the following areas of music: Producer and bass player in a band, recording for pop/rock electronic music/hip hop artists, professional mixing and DJing.

This course is aimed at anyone who is considering starting to play the piano or starting where they may have stopped years ago or simply looking for advice and listeners. I offer fresh access to teaching, where basic principles and ideas of playing the piano are adapted to the skills and any previous knowledge. But since the music is never just in the notes and keys, I also attach particular importance to a simple and creative introduction to the classical music language and the theory associated with it. The most important thing in the end is still the joy of making music and that's why I try to make the hours fun and relaxed :)

Rose is a classical cellist from Australia with extensive teaching experience and cello performance qualifications. She is currently studying her Master's in Cello Performance at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Rose has worked as a private cello teacher since 2014. In 2019 she was the Residential Music Tutor at Janet Clarke Hall, the University of Melbourne, and in the same year completed her Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree in Cello Performance, graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. In 2020 she was a Lead Teaching Artist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's outreach program, and in 2021 she relocated to Vienna to pursue her Master's degree at the MDW. Rose has experience teaching students of all levels and ages, and offers lessons in both English and German.

Classical guitar lessons for beginners and advanced players in Vienna in various languages (German, English, Serbian). I'm studying guitar at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with the famous Austrian guitarist Alexander Swete and I'm in the second phase of my studies (Master's). In addition to my studies, I perform concerts and regularly take part in international competitions. I offer classical guitar lessons for all levels and am particularly specialized in Spanish, classical and baroque music.
