The Piano Studio of Michael offers private piano lessons to students of all ages and abilities in the Vienna area. Michael teaches from his home in the 12th district, Meidling, or can travel to your home for lessons. Under Michael's teaching, students will study proper piano technique and musicianship in a creative and fun way. Lessons are catered to the goals of each student - whether you are itching to play the latest pop song or a nocturne by Chopin! No matter the style of music, emphasis is always placed on proper technical skills and correct posture in addition to development of aural and reading skills. Michael is a 25-year-old native of Santa Barbara, California. He began studying piano at the age of 7 and fell in love with the instrument! He earned his bachelors of music in Piano Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and his Masters of Music in Piano Accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music in London. He continues his studies with Julius Drake in Lieder performance at the Kunstuniversität in Graz and works in Vienna as a freelance pianist with singers while giving recitals throughout Europe and the United States.
