I offer lessons to all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to those more advanced. Typical lessons last from 30 minutes to an hour. All of my lessons are tailored to meet the exact needs and preferences of my students, whether that's working towards their next graded exam, playing just for fun, and anything in between. I hold a first class honours degree in Classical Flute from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I studied with Ian Clarke and Philippa Davies, and won the Needlemaker's Woodwind Prize. After graduating in 2022, I was invited to become a Guildhall School Junior Fellow, specialising in Flute and Composition. As a freelance flautist, I have had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Concert Hall and the Southbank Centre. My performance experience encompasses a diverse range of settings, from live radio broadcasts to collaborations with dance and art installations, reflecting my versatility as a musician, and openness to help my students pursue their own personal journey, both within music and as an individual in general. In addition to my passion for the flute, I am also an accomplished composer with a portfolio of commissioned works premiering at renowned venues and exhibitions worldwide. Notable highlights include composing for Wessel Flutes, Berlin Fashion Week, Nxt Museum (Amsterdam), and Adidas Y-3. My work as a composer heavily influences my approach to teaching. Beyond emphasising technical proficiency and a solid grasp of music theory, I am dedicated to nurturing creativity in all of my students.

This class is for students of any age who wish to learn the transverse flute. Learning an instrument takes time and commitment, but it's hugely rewarding - and it doesn't have to be boring! I have experience teaching students of all age and levels and I specialise in tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student. Beginner flute lessons are suitable for students learning from scratch or those already playing up to about ABRSM Grade 2 level. In beginner flute lessons, you will learn the fundamentals of making a sound and play your first notes, as well as the basics of reading music. As lessons progress, you will learn your first short pieces and maybe even prepare for graded exams. Intermediate lessons are suitable for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 3 to Grade 5 levels. In these lessons, you will build on what you already know to expand your abilities on the flute. You will learn more about different musical styles and techniques and develop more confidence to express yourself through music. Advanced lessons are for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 6 and beyond. Depending on each student, lessons could involve growing more skills to take the advanced grade or diploma exams exams through to learning the skills to put together a recital programme or prepare for a music college audition. There is wide scope in these lessons to focus on your areas of interest, while still keeping an eye on the solid foundations of good flute technique and musicianship.

Trusted teacher: Graduated for 5 years from the Royal Conservatory of Mons, having done many Master Classes and an Erasmus in Vienna, I continue to improve with a great virtuoso (1st prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition) at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels to be able to better help my students. My courses are aimed at children as well as adults or seniors. The concept is based on learning in joy and good humor. I listen to each of my students to best meet his needs. One can as well work pieces of classical music as varieties ,. Some students come with songs they dreamed of playing, so we work together. I like to gather all my students twice a year so that they have the opportunity to show their work in public. This concert is always followed by the glass of friendship. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION from parents: "Having Anaïs as my children's piano teacher, I can testify to her remarkable pedagogical skills associated with a high pianistic talent. The quality of her contact with the children is such that they leave courses always highly motivated. new ideas, interesting pieces, and appreciated by the children! Anaïs also makes a point of honor to what they learn in the good mood, while not neglecting the rigor, key element in the piano learning. " "We are the parents of Olivia and Victoria H .... Anaïs follows our children aged 9 and 11 in learning a musical instrument, namely the piano. For 2 years, she supervises them every week with motivation, availability and professionalism. In addition to her professional skills, she is lively, spontaneous and enthusiastic. The progress of our children is impressive and we can only strongly recommend the services of Anaïs " "My son is dyspraxic, which means that he has difficulties in motor coordination (making a shoelace or buttoning a shirt are, for example, difficult activities)." Despite this, Anaïs managed to make her reach a respectable level, to which besides, I did not expect it, I think that these advances are due to the good balance that Anaïs introduces between musical rigor and educational flexibility. " "For 2 years, my daughter Louise, 11, has been studying piano and solfege with Anaïs, and I attend every week and feel very sincerely that her method and pedagogy are excellent. Anais sometimes needed with my daughter. I can only encourage you to contact her. " "My two children are taking piano lessons at Anaïs, and I am delighted with the quality of the classes she offers and the excellent pedagogy that inspires her. Indeed, Anaïs offers a rigorous and enthusiastic apprenticeship to introduce young people to the piano. It regularly organizes concerts that aim to bring together students of all ages and levels and build confidence in front of an audience. I highly recommend the passionate and motivating pedagogy of Anaïs. " "Anaïs is a very professional person and she is very good at making Louise progress through her patience, availability and good mood."
