Does your child enjoy learning English and getting a head start for secondary school? Or would they like to be able to communicate with other children on holiday? My name is Luca (♀︎) and I have lived abroad for 8 years (America, England and China). I have been attending international schools since 2008 and currently studying English at the University of Groningen. I have 5 years of tutoring experience and really enjoy working with children and helping them with the English language. I think it is important that the children learn the language well, but that they also enjoy it.

I offer my lessons for any levels however I mainly focus on A1-B2. Whether you want to learn English to pass your exam or just to better integrate into an English speaking society, my courses are tailored specifically to your own individual needs. Depending on your final goals textbooks may be necessary, however, most of the important material will be provided by me. Being a university student of European languages and cultures I have worked with people from various cultures and backgrounds and throughout my studies I have been exposed to multiple language learning situations where I gained first-hand insights on the most effective language learning ways. Thus, I am delighted to be able to share this knowledge with you in order to help you achieve your goals in English:)

Hey there! I am a native German speaker with a strong academic background in both German and English. I excelled in my German advanced course during high school and achieved a perfect score of 15/15 points in my final English exams. Afterward, I spent a year living in Australia, which further honed my English skills and gave me valuable insights into the language's practical use. In my interactive lessons, we will focus on actively speaking German and English, as I believe this is the most effective way to learn a language. My approach is dynamic and tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring that you not only understand the grammar and vocabulary but also gain the confidence to use the language in real-life situations. It can be difficult to write essays in perfect English, especially as an international student. There is no need to worry! I can help with that. Coming from a British School, I speak and write in perfect English. I have a lot of experience in the art of crafting a perfect essay. If you send me your completed essay, I can thoroughly proofread it for you and correct any grammar and structural mistakes. I can also give you some suggestions on how to make the essay clear and compelling. I myself am a medicine student, but I have experience in writing essays in many fields. I am therefore ready to help with proofreading essays in any subject. In addition, I can speak five languages fluently (English, Dutch, Italian, German and French) so I can also help with translation.

I've been teaching for several years, starting with teaching physical education and after some time stood in front of the class teaching students Dutch and history. This class is for aiming for confident Italian speakers and practice is the best way to improve language fluency. My students and I love to split each class into two parts: the first half generally focused on grammar (foundations are crucial) and the second always dedicated to speaking activities and conversation.
