At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them. As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout. I have been teaching photography since 2009. As a strong environmentalist, her mission is to work with 100% biodegradable natural fibres which follow decarbonisation processes as a solution for one of the most polluting industries in the world. With experience in creating her own collection, she provides a specialist hemp fibre design and consultancy service after working with a breadth of international manufacturers. Previous projects have included the vegan barrister wig, 100% natural fibre packaging for small companies and sustainable home and textile products for Cultiva Kingdom (www.cultivakingdom.com). Her mission now is to impact the next generation by teaching them about sustainable design and what difference their own work can make to the planet. Current Experience: - Graduate from Goldsmiths University in 2018 with a Design BA - Laura has gained successful awards from GSCE and A-level in both Art and Design subjects with A-A* - Working with students from language schools in Oxford, supervising and conducting activities with young people from all ages, 4-25 years old - Student Ambassador at University where we would organise and carry out an outreach project around sustainability with secondary school students. The current ratings and reviews speak for themselves. Most are 5-star reviews, with a few 4-star reviews and none at a lower rating. She is an amazing teacher with more than a decade of experience. Who truly knows how to tailor a programme to each individual student. In 3 weeks, I've grown from knowing close to no grammar to being able to form proper sentences for everyday use. One aspect I value a lot about her way of teaching is that we apply the grammar not only to every-day situations but also to topics that tailor to my personal life circumstances. I have been convinced that, with the help of Marina, I will be able to grow my Mandarin skills exponentially over the next few months.
