I have been a Piano teacher for over 25 years. This is something I am very passionate about and truly enjoy. My goal is to combine the students' interests with a program that I as a teacher find necessary to improve and develop technique and skills. I have also taught Piano to my kids, so I understand how important it is that Piano lessons are interesting and exciting. I studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. For many years I had my own music theater studio. I have a Hoffmann Grand Piano and prefer to give lessons at my home. However, I am flexible and can come to your house too.

The lessons will delve into both the technical and musical aspects of piano playing, theory, reading music, harmony, ear training, technique, pedagogy and more. My aim is to equip students to understand different music styles, build confidence, discover their unique voice and continue their musical journey independently. As Thelonious Monk said, the piano ain’t got no wrong notes. I'm passionate about traversing genres since I have studied both jazz and classical to a high level, making this class perfect for creative pianists and composers who want to go beyond reading music off a piece of paper. Trinity/ABRSM curriculum upto Grade 8, can also be optionally included. Teaching effective practice methods is a priority, ensuring students progress confidently and without leaning on me. Please note, I only teach in person to maintain high standards of guidance in technique. This is not possible via video conferencing. Since everyone asks: yes, I did study at Berklee College of Music as an undergraduate for some time, and I do help students out with their audition preparation for various music colleges! Currently, my students are between 14 and 44 years old— I believe that it’s never too late or too early to begin your musical journey. I am teaching composition, piano, theory/harmony, & ear-training. I graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam as a contemporary composer. I am very open to the stylistic choices of the students and adapt the lesson to fit their particular needs or interests. When it comes to composition, I'm coaching anyone who needs advice as to how to write their own music, how to develop their compositional tools, song-writing skills, how to translate conceptual ideas into practical material. This also applies to children, who might want to get the basics of making their own song, either on an instrument or on the computer. My approach to teaching piano is highly influenced by my composition studies, both in stylistic diversity and in pedagogical methods. I find it important to teach piano in an overall way, one that incorporates ear-training but also theory together with playing. This way i find that the lesson becomes much more stimulating, and it also becomes much more easy to learn. I have experience teaching adults but also young kids between 4-15 years old. I believe it is never late to start learning music and that learning to make music is firstly a fun and then a challenging adventure.

Private lessons from a very experienced bassist with over 10 years of experience performing internationally and more than 5 years as a teacher. The lessons are for all levels, it is not necessary to have previous experience. In the lessons, we'll learn the instrument and musical theory but the main focus is to play and have fun doing so. In my experience, that's the key to success. I'm mainly focused on Jazz music but I've performed several different styles of music and the lessons can be tailored to your musical interests. I've learned to play this instrument with the best teachers in Europe but I also studied in NYC with Jazz legends such as Buster Williams, Reggie Workman and David Wong.

Even in fairly high profile scenarios, producing a realistic midi mockup of sampled instrument is nowadays a very helpful skill. It's not always possible to arrange recordings with real musicians, and at the same time we as composers want to showcase what we can do in the best way possible, and our clients will rightfully ask for the best quality despite the potential lack of budget. A wonderfully crafted piece of music can easily fall apart without proper knowledge of sample manipulation in this sense. Beside being a composer myself, I had the luck of working for years in studios that specialized in midi productions and sample library programming: I can teach you the software I write with (Cubase) and, more in general, how to get the best results out of your sample libraries, by manipulating them inside of Kontatk/Sine/Spitfire engine, or by advicing you on how to proper postproduce it. We can cover every stage of production, up to the basis of mixing and mastering.

Hello! I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of violin playing which are focused on student interests. I'm studying in Conservatorium van Amsterdam on my final year of Bachelor's Degree. I teach for last couple of years in Amsterdam and I had intensive teaching courses to help me become a professional teacher.

My name is Toby. I am offering drum lessons to people of any age or skill level in the city of Amsterdam. I have played and loved the drums since I was 6 years old, and completed grades 1-8 with Trinity Guildhall. I was taught for 12 years in England, and I aim to pass on what I have learned from my education and playing experience to new students. I believe that good technique must be practiced in order to access the range of musical expression possible with the drums. I aim to teach it comprehensively and practice it with students rigorously, so that they can develop their creative vocabulary and ultimately apply this to their own practice and playing. Learning how to listen is essential to playing an instrument. I aim to develop students’ listening and ability to play with sensitivity and feeling, something that is essential when playing with other musicians. I ultimately want to inspire students to make music. I consider this the most thrilling and creative reason to learn an instrument.
