I specialise in English (British & American) tuition for native and non-native speakers of all ages, and have experience working with: • young children learning English for the first time • primary- and secondary-school students studying the English language and its literatures • adult professionals and seniors wishing to improve their language skills, or develop pronunciation or presentational skills I have two degrees in English language and literature (B.A. and Mst) from the University of Oxford, and I am also a graduate of the International Baccalaureate (I.B.) Diploma program. I've developed a creative approach in my sessions with students that involves applying a student's particular talents and interests (regardless of subject) in the process of language acquisition, along with the simultaneous development of critical skills like close and careful reading, argumentation, written style, and effective communication. I am versed in the requirements and intricacies of a range of national and international diploma programs. When working with students supplementing an academic syllabus, my goal is always to position them to succeed in the assignments and assessments laid out by a primary instructor.

Knowledge of Italian is useful in and of itself; but it is also essential for the study of other fields like history, literature, music, art, business, economics, and political science. So, whether you want to learn how to order your own "gelato" in Rome, improve your knowledge of Italian grammar, or broaden your horizons through study and analysis of literature, by exposing yourself to a different culture, this is the course for you! In class, we will speak Italian as much as possible to help you develop your speaking skills – obviously paying attention to correct grammar and vocabulary. I will speak Italian as much as possible – even from the very beginning – and encourage you to do the same. Every class is targeted to the student's goals, which are discussed with me during our first introductory lesson. Students can bring their own material, in case they need help preparing for a test or exam; alternatively I will provide learning material (digital or hard copy) based on the student's needs.

Hello everyone! I hold a doctorate in Italian, have been teaching Italian for 5 years and hold a CELTA teaching qualification. I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Italian for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Italian culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. I am open to your needs and can speak a few languages to make sure you understand fully the lessons (of course, we’ll try to use mostly Italian in all our lessons depending on your level). I entered in the Yoga World after 15 years of working in corporates. Now, my mission is to be of service for people in a deeper level. Through tailor made yoga sequence, my aim is to assist people on learning how to breath and how to stand strong on their feet. I use a lot of therapeutic elements, breathing exercises and a bit of philosophy in my sequences in order to empower students, through an improved well being.

I have studied an advanced LLM in European and International Business Law at Leiden University. Before coming to Leiden I have gained experience at teaching in a number of fields in Iran. I used to teach music, English language, and Private International Law. I also studied master in International law, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Librarian Science in Iran. I am extremely patient and being good at teaching runs in my family since my mother is a retired teacher. I am particularly familiar with Persian literature.

Vincent Van Gogh once said something to the effect that greatness is a series of little things coming together, Emile Durkheim the great French sociologist first 'coined', "the whole is more than the sum of its parts" and Montesquieu conceived of laws in relation to climate. What do all of these have to do with each other? The fact that the interpretation and understanding of one of the realms of socio-political knowledge is not enough to either understand that single discipline of study whether it be Law, History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology or Philosophy- you cannot separate any from the whole and be able to understand the Short, Nasty,BrutishTM nature that reality is and that conditions human life. While my studies and work have nigh been exclusively related to Law, my interests which pushed me there were/are seemingly very different. Through my experience I may humbly submit that the the perspectives that each discipline approaches problems with are crucial in solving very distinct "linguistic" problems within their specific paradigms. They however are victims of dogma as is academia in general it would be fair to say. Living in the times we do, it is not only necessary as a basic informational issue but as an issue of responsible citizenry, young adults must be well educated about the political economy. Whether you're looking to study and/or are currently studying and/or want to learn about any of the aforementioned subjects whether in conjunction with current coursework and/or assignments, or if you're just interested and would like to learn about a specific period in time, this is for you.

I am an Oxford University graduate in English and French literature. I specialise in tutoring English language to all ages, and English literature to secondary school students looking to improve their literature grades. I am very friendly, patient and really enjoy teaching others.

The pedagogical structure is adaptable to the situation; school-aged children with Portuguese parent(s) who don't always have the time and opportunity to teach them, adults who need practical advice and relatively quick skill training because of a Portuguese-speaking partner, friend, traveling, etc...
