At the moment I am studying at the magistracy of the composition department in Haute école de musique de Genève. In addition, I already have two full educations - choral (secondary) and composer (higher). I graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory as a composer, took part in concerts and competitions in Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland as a choir singer or pianist. My name is Aleksandar Nikolaev and I am from Bulgaria. I offer flute lessons (modern and traverso), piano and music theory, all ages and levels are welcome! I am able to teach in English, German, French and Bulgarian (my native language). I work in the Geneva area and am studying for a Masters in Pedagogy at the Geneva University of Music. Throughout my schooling, I was able to develop my knowledge and my pleasure of playing the trumpet. Meeting great trumpet players and teachers allowed me to understand multiple ways of approaching this instrument. The acquisition of a degree in musicology, a DEM in trumpet and then a Bachelor in Trumpet as well as experience in different formations (reggae, French song, pop/rock, bigband, symphonic orchestra, baroque ensemble, chamber music, contemporary music, ...), plus experience as a trumpet teacher in music school, a Bafa/Juleica and a crazy love for music and in particular the trumpet, allows me to assure you that you will find something to satisfy you!
