Student at the Lausanne University of Music. I offer online music lessons at home for all ages and for all levels. From teaching music theory to learning the violin, viola. I am a viola and violin teacher. I am currently doing my teaching master's degree at HEMU. I already have a master's degree in performance obtained at the same school. I am followed by incredible professionals. The student will be in good hands and will be well guided. I teach classical music, music theory, improvisation and folk music. I know several teaching methods, I will be very flexible to everyone's needs. My schedule is flexible. I teach in the canton of Valais and in Lausanne, for all ages.

The viola is a wonderful instrument, it has a warm and passionate voice and is characterized by its sweetness and softness in both the low and high registers. If you are interested in learning to play the viola - classical or baroque - or feel the need to improve your skills, or if you have to prepare for an exam or an audition, just send me a message and I will gladly be your viola teacher! Being an instrument that is not as comfortable as the violin, sound production in the viola needs special attention. In my lessons I try to increase in my students the ability to perceive and recognize the position of their body in space and the state of contraction of their muscles. We will talk about pure instrumental technique and make music together, but we will also speak about self-awareness, relaxation techniques and posture. Studying the viola can thus become a transcendental way to discover the potential of your body and mind.

Master's student in Pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique (HEMU) - Lausanne. Courses can be taught in French, English or Arabic. I adapt to each person's needs, offering great flexibility in teaching methods. My goal is for each class to take place in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I travel to Lausanne and the surrounding area. The courses may or may not include music theory, as well as theoretical elements depending on your preferences. The viola, brother instrument of the violin and the cello offers a rich palette of colors and a warm sound that we will learn to develop together. Instrumental practice is central, but we can also make some theoretical digressions (history of music, music theory, etc.) if necessary and according to the wishes of the student. Start by learning healthy posture to produce full, controlled sounds. Learn the notes on the instrument while reading the score. Play in pizzicato then arco to feel the individuality of each hand. Work on both technique and musicality to be able to play pieces adapted to the level of the student and above all have fun in music! If the student has suggestions for songs or special requests, I remain open to proposals!

My name is Lauren I am a violist and composer based in Schöppingen, Germany. I received my Bachelors Degree in Viola Performance at The Juilliard School in 2019, and have since taught music lessons online and in-person since 2013. I have experience teaching students of all ages, from 3-80. I teach classical music, improvisation, even electronics, if that is of interest. I always cater to the needs and interests of my students, creating an individualized lesson plan for them. I have studied Alexander Technique, and always emphasize the importance of physical health and comfort in my instrumental teaching. When teaching composition - I enjoy discovering the creativity of each student, helping them find their individual voice. I can teach Dorico Notation Software, Adobe Illustrator, Logic Pro X, and Ableton. I currently teach students internationally, and can accomodate other time zones. Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process. As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of all ages and levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ in London and have taught on the Senior and Primary Arpeggione Viola Courses. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe, including at the European Parliament in 2018. I also prepare students for music exams, auditions and competitions at all levels, and work with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and can accompany them the piano. Alongside my teaching I perform internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, including at Kings Place London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Philharmonie Berlin.
