Physics and science for everyone, all levels, ages 7 to 99

Courses tailored to each student's curriculum and difficulties.

As a doctor in physics and a tutor for many years, I'm committed to ensuring that all my pupils and students succeed! I'm available to help with homework every week or on an ad hoc basis before exams, as you wish. I'm very good at listening to different problems and I'll be able to adapt to you.

A lesson always begins with a short discussion with the student to find out where he or she stands. I then adapt a little revision or experiential learning (“hands-on explanations” to get a feel for the different concepts) and then some practical exercises.

See you soon (:

Paper and pencil will suffice for lessons at the student's home. A tablet and pen for video exercises is a big plus, but by no means compulsory.

About Me

Hello,

- My name is Zoé and I'm mad about science! It's been my passion ever since I was very young and had good teachers who made my eyes sparkle. Now it's my turn to give you the same confidence and interest in science.
- I'm very patient and enthusiastic, and will listen to your needs and difficulties. We'll work together in a caring environment so that you can make the most of your chances!
- I teach because I want to pass on my values and knowledge to as many people as possible.
- I want to make the sciences accessible to everyone, so that they are no longer so mysterious and indigestible!
- A lesson always begins with a short discussion with the student to find out where he or she stands. I then adapt a little revision or experiential learning (“hands-on explanations” to get the feel for the different concepts) and then some practical exercises.

I look forward to meeting you,
Scientifically yours,
Zoé

Repetition course in mathematics and science subjects
Currently studying in the first year at EPFL, in the Computer Science and Communications System faculty. I offer repetition courses in mathematics and more generally in science subjects, from elementary school to high school level. This course is aimed at students having difficulty in scientific branches as well as students wishing to improve their knowledge or prepare for higher studies in the scientific field. During the lessons, I review the different notions learned at school and try to bring them in a more intuitive and less abstract way. Then we apply these concepts in the exercises. I also focus on developing a method of scientific thinking, in order to solve future exercises independently.

Marc

Mehdi
Math or Home English Course for Kids and Teens
I am a student at EPFL, I did my year of CMS and I am in first year EPFL in Communication Systems. I have the certification of the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) iBT with a score of 112. I passed my baccalaureate mathematical sciences with a mention Très Bien, a 19/20 in maths and a 20/20 in English . I like teaching classes to children and teenagers. My method of teaching English is to try to find a balance between learning the language in writing and orally, starting with the basics of the English language little by little to be sure student learns the language in a correct way. As far as mathematics is concerned, I try to find the gaps the student has in order to then help him to do his exercises and perfect his maths learning and finally make him love this very important subject.

Thomas
Private lessons in math - economics - Accounting - English
Student at UNIL in 2nd year of HEC (Hautes Etudes de Commerce), this course is a homework help and can also be a preparation of the Federal Matu in economics, mathematics and English. I own my own car and am able to move to your home.

Morgane
Private lessons in mathematics, physics, building technology
I have always been interested and gifted in science and math and love helping to understand. Science and math are necessary for many professions (even in non-scientific professions such as accountancy, ...) and are important in school. This is why I offer courses for students or for those who simply want to learn or improve in these subjects. The course includes: - understanding the theory through examples, explanations and diagrams. - resolution accompanied by exercises and problems in order to be able to reproduce the procedure to follow - understanding of these to be able to identify alone the different steps and procedures to follow necessary for the resolution - exam preparation My goal is that one day my students will no longer need me to understand the theory and apply it in practice!
