I am a Belgian violinist, 25 years old, who obtained her master's degree in violin and chamber music at the Lemmens Institute last year. As a violin teacher, the fun of the students is central. With a stimulating and motivated approach, we take on new challenges by looking together for a beautiful sound, musicality, relaxation and suitable repertoire. I cater to the interests of each student. I want to make you curious about the instrument and show you all the possibilities of the violin. This class is designed for GCSE and A-Level music students eager to develop their composition skills in line with exam requirements. With a focus on originality and creativity, we will explore compositional techniques, musical structures, and stylistic understanding across a variety of genres. Each session will offer practical exercises and guided tasks tailored to exam criteria, encouraging students to build confidence and express their unique musical voice. Through regular feedback, constructive discussions, and assignment of relevant exercises between lessons, students will gain a deeper understanding of music theory, harmony, and instrumentation to enhance their compositions. My goal is to challenge students to think independently and to prepare them thoroughly for the composition components of their music exams, all within a supportive and engaging online environment.

With 27 years of experience as a violin teacher, artist and composer, I transmit my love of music in a creative, playful and holistic way. I have developed a method that adapts to each student according to their needs, levels and desires. I attach great importance to creating a caring and relaxed atmosphere where the student can flourish and develop both a solid technique and learn self-confidence. We will also discuss how to work efficiently and calmly and we will develop the qualities necessary to express yourself freely with your instrument. We will talk about musicality, physical well-being (the importance of breathing!), attentive listening and we will take the time to explore while having fun. If necessary, the basics of music theory will be learned gradually. Although I have a classical background I enjoy teaching a variety of music (Celtic, folk, klezmer, tango, jazz, films...) and I encourage my students to discover the most beautiful melodies in the repertoire and sometimes even to improvise or compose together.
