I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

Passionate about history, I am at your disposal for any help you would need for the writing of your presentations, end of studies and dissertations in EDM / geography / human sciences and French. Favoring efficiency, I restructure and correct your texts (or your courses) to make your subjects as alive as possible. All seriously, but always in a good mood. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

A qualified language coach with 24 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online. I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam. That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1 As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities. Teaching is my ultimate passion and even after 24 years it feels like the first time and students always feel inspired to overcome the obstacles. I also teach you about Dutch social culture, which is intertwined in the course and is strongly related to the language.

Teaching children is almost "an art" Not everyone is able to place him or herself in the mind of a child and that is just so important! I teach playfully and at the same time they learn without really realizing they are in a lesson! I do this with diverse lesson material such as pictures, video's, and we are also practicing songs together. We will use practice exams to get you more comfortable with the questions and I'll give you tips. We will also look into the grammar points that are necessary for the exam. We will work on all 4 aspects: speaking skills, writing skills. reading skills and listening skills. We practice together on language in use, grammar and vocabulary, gap texts, structuring exercises, dictation, presentations and argumentation.
