Time management techniques, tricks for reading, all maths topics... those are just some of the few things we will cover in the class. My preferred method is that when you already know 80% of what you need to know, we can move on to practice full tests.
The IB science subjects can be really challenging, especially if they are at higher level. In this classes you will be able to ask any doubts or to expand your knowledge on how to ace the subjects of Biology and Chemistry at higher and standard level for the IB exams, by practicing with past papers, revising and creating your own notes and diagrams.
A couple of things I like to do:
- Initial test or interview to assess your level.
- Use mock papers that lay out the exercises JUST like in the real exams, so you will feel really prepared.
- If the lessons are once a week, or we have a big gap on weekends, I would like to give some homework.
- I provide any kind of mentoring and college counseling. People who study Biology and Chemistry usually want to pursue a clinical career-- and that is a complex process!
- I like using my Chemistry and Bio books for diagrams and summaries.
